spare ammo for concealed carry?

re spare ammo for CCW

Hi
When I was carrying my SW 642 everyday I carried two HKS speed loaders in my pocket. I am originaly from NYC and up there a lot of my buddies relied on the "New York Reload" which was a fully loaded .25 or .32. I feel the most secure with one speedloader and my Kel-Tec P32 as backup. If you choose to carry one gun then I would say always carry 2 speedloaders as there is always the chance your speedloader could be dropped and lost when you need it NOW! This happened to a friend during a run & gun training session. My loaded P32 is no heavier than a good size folding combat knife.

I'm a little puzzled by all the revolver folks carrying their reloads on the offside or in the weak-hand pockets.

My speedloader case rides right in front of the holster, and the speedstrips are evenly split between front and rear right pockets. All reloads are accessible with the right hand.

Am I the only one who reloads his wheelgun by opening the cylinder, transitioning the gun to the left hand, and reloading with the right hand?

No Marko you are not the only one. I have had to retrain myself to do it this way and it is much easier than trying to load with the left hand. I carry my primary reloads (Comp Is) on the right, a drop pouch w/ speed strip over my right rear pocket. However, I also carry another speed strip in my left cargo pocket. THERE IS ALWAYS THE CHANCE THAT SOMETHING GOES WONKY WITH MY RIGHT HAND/ARM AND i CAN'T ACCESS MY RELOADS EASILY. (sorry for the all caps, not yelling, just bumped the button and I'm too damn lazy to retype that line.)

I use Bianchi Speed-Strips.In cooler weather I carry one in a belt pouch, during summer in the pocket or fanny pack pouch.tom.
