Sooooo tired of this zombie stuff

I don't recall at any point when I was earning my degree in history my professors going over the Great Zombie Invasion of 1927

That's because it hasn't happened yet, Mike. A lot of people are going to be caught off-guard when it goes down.

Honestly, as silly as it all is, you can't blame any companies for taking advantage of the fad and making some extra cash in the process. If people didn't buy the stuff, it would fade away.

Anyone know how to put a signature on your posts, i've seen a lot and wish to add my own

I have no zombie gear but the metaphor doesn't bother me too much.
But like video games, I wonder if somewhere someday...Zombie Fever will be cited in an incident we all wish wouldn't have happened.
Seems to have an inflated price and I don't go in for lime green.

Got an email from Hornady the other day...anyone see what Hornady's Zombie progressive press is selling for on GB?

In my area the Zombie thing seems to refer to a specific group of brain dead people that will remain unnamed. I admit that it gets tiresome because all the complaints in the world wont make any difference.

I think it really refers to a level of frustration. I think the Zombie thing could end this year...

That would be nice news, if the undead brain eaters decided to join the living.

I too, think it's dumb. I personally hate the end of the world movies. They are really just dumb and people watch them for reasons I dont understand. Most people have a great fear of the world ending someday. And yet, the same people watch those dumb movies. In my mind, those movies thrive off fear and peope watch it to be prepared for how it may happen. Some may not realize that is what they are doing, but it's really their reasoning. And the Zombie stuff is just a spinoff from it all. Zombie ammo is out there, and for whatever reason people buy it. Some for fun, but others think they'll actually use it. Walmart even sells targets with pictures of zombies. I think there's guns marketed in the same way too. I think it's the dumbest thing I've ever heard of. And no, I'm not old. I'm in my early 20's and am avid in guns. For the reasons I've already mentioned and it may make gun owners look even worse to others, this zombie fad needs to go.

Oh my gosh! Lighten up! This is no different than naming cars like a Diablo or guns like the Judge. Does owning one make you a Judge, or the Governor? Snobberyism (:D) is running rampant! As well as hypocritismery (:D)! We have all read posts that tell people get what they can afford even if we personally don't like it. Ravens, Loricins, and Hi-Points all come to mind. Point is, if you don't like it, don't buy it.

This is obviously due to the fact the Mayan calender predicts the end of the world which, by the way, Cheaper Than Dirt is using on the front cover of their catalog to sell products. ;)

I am also young, like video games and watch The Walking Dead. That said, I was shocked the first time I saw zombie ammo. I think it marginalizes shooting and is a dangerous gimmick. I think it creates a negative perception ofgun owners as paranoid, unbalanced, gullible, our any combination of the above. Please make it stop.

We see several of these targets at the range. The wife wants to get some. I don't really know anything about zombie ammo. Evidently its not cheap enough to hit my radar. :)

Sometimes your ignorance amazes me. It wasn't 1927, it was 1917!!!!! :D

Exactly. The same people who deny the Great Zombie Attack (or Zombie Roundup if you're a Texan) also deny the martians invaded us in the 30s. I tell them, dude it was on the radio, you don't believe your own ears?

i too am a young man at 74 y.o., been a gun person since 10 y.o., i agree with you 1,000%, i despise this zombie crap. i never watch movies made by those Hollyweed liberals my TV choices are the History & H2, Discovery, Natl. Geo., Science etc., i really enjoy learning new things, like last night on History2, they drained the Great Lakes.., WOW!! entertaining and very educational.

I enjoy all the apocalyptic stuff a great deal. I watch zombie movies and read zombie books and watch The Walking Dead.

I hate the zombie guns & ammo fad, and it'll never get my money. I do believe it's going to end up making gun owners look bad when someone uses it as a toy or in a shooting,

I like shooting, it's a very fun hobby. But it's not a toy or a game.

Oh, so you looked at the MIB little flashlight thingee, Mike? I think Surefire makes them for those guys.

:D:)

I was in Boston at that complex of hotels hooked together by malls. There was zombie flash mob, scaring the tourists. Luckily this wasn't in TX or the zombie shooters would have ...

"Honestly, as silly as it all is, you can't blame any companies for taking advantage of the fad and making some extra cash in the process. If people didn't buy the stuff, it would fade away."

I have no problems with the companies trying to make a buck off it. It still bothers me, though.

And, just to make sure everyone is clear on this, yes, I really like The Walking Dead, and I've always liked Zombie movies (You hear that Mal? That's right, I watch zombie movies!!! Go watch Time Bandits for the 1,828,762th time!)

"That's because it hasn't happened yet, Mike. A lot of people are going to be caught off-guard when it goes down."

Excuse me, they didn't cover it in my Soothsaying and Astral Projection classes, either.

"Oh, so you looked at the MIB little flashlight thingee, Mike? I think Surefire makes them for those guys."

I don't hypnotize, so I doubt if that dohickey would work, either.

This time 10,000. LockedBreach nails it on the head.

I'm afraid that it's only going to be a matter of time before this happens.

So help me out. Besides the zombie targets what other zombie related stuff is there? I'm not being snippy, I'm evidently just not up on current events. ;)

EDIT: also at work so most weapon related sites are blocked.

have any of you even seen the zombie ammo? Im not one way or another on the subject but the marketing for it was huge, I have litterally lived in three seperate states since it came out and no where, I mean NOWHERE can keep it on the shelves. Talk about intelligence. Anyways the ammo is interesting to me, dont have any but it looks to me like a higher velocity, hollow point, at least for the hangun ammo. Take a look sometime and if anyone has statistics post it. Oh and another thing, the guy who posted this thread, its funny the shells in that picture im pretty positive do not fire a projectile lol, i read up on it at the 2012 shot show and supposedly its enough cuncusive force to "mangle your brains at close range" but from what i understand, no shot or slugs.

"Lightfield Ammunition has introduced a non projectile zombie round aimed at Zombies… literally!
Called Zombie Blaster. The new round will blind, deafen and ultimately pulverize the brains of a
zombie. When your back is against the wall during the final assault, Zombie Blaster Ammo is the
ultimate choice. Recommended for close-quarter zombie combat. Watch and be amazed at what a
non projectile maga blank can do to a bleeding zombie target."

yup no projectile......... Dumb!!!!!!
