If we're looking seriously into the used market, I would think you can find a Star 30M for around that price. That's a big, massive hunk of steel of a pistol, and the recoil is truly minimal. Probably the least recoil of any of my fullsize 9mm's.agree on the Ruger p95. recoil is like a mouse fart.
can be found very cheap in the 2nd hand market. $300 shouldn't be that far out of the realm of possibility. should be able to find a holster for it, as well, but you'll need a pretty stiff belt.
If you are looking to minimize felt recoil for bad wrists, find something fullsize with a steel frame. CZ, Star, etc. The steel frame eats up the recoil, especially if the gun seems "oversized" for 9mm.
Even the Star BM feels a lot softer than, say, a S&W 39-2 or 915, guns that are larger than the BM. That's because the BM has a solid steel frame and weighs 34 oz empty. It's a smaller size gun, but quite heavy and massive feeling, and the recoil and slide action is extremely pleasant.
That's the physics tradeoff you have to make for light recoil; more mass in the gun.
