Softest Recoil 9mm for $300

agree on the Ruger p95. recoil is like a mouse fart.

can be found very cheap in the 2nd hand market. $300 shouldn't be that far out of the realm of possibility. should be able to find a holster for it, as well, but you'll need a pretty stiff belt.
If we're looking seriously into the used market, I would think you can find a Star 30M for around that price. That's a big, massive hunk of steel of a pistol, and the recoil is truly minimal. Probably the least recoil of any of my fullsize 9mm's.

If you are looking to minimize felt recoil for bad wrists, find something fullsize with a steel frame. CZ, Star, etc. The steel frame eats up the recoil, especially if the gun seems "oversized" for 9mm.

Even the Star BM feels a lot softer than, say, a S&W 39-2 or 915, guns that are larger than the BM. That's because the BM has a solid steel frame and weighs 34 oz empty. It's a smaller size gun, but quite heavy and massive feeling, and the recoil and slide action is extremely pleasant.

That's the physics tradeoff you have to make for light recoil; more mass in the gun.

Another Star that fits in with the Less Recoil theme would be the Ultrastar M205.
It soaks recoil due to its design, and it was a GREAT design, too bad they shut down
shortly after it came out.

Multiple yummy things about it other than the ability to soak recoil,
has a decocker & pin cover safety, and a VERY light slide, well-sprung.
Early, but tough polymer. Comes in 9mm & .40S&W
