So How Many Times Do You Slap A Magazine Before You Insert Into Firearm

My answer is zero times for all my guns, but if I owned a 1911, I might do it just because it couldn't hurt and most of them need all the help they get, unless they "clank", then they usually shoot great. :D

I used to have a Hi-Point C-9 that I would slap the magazine against the back of my hand for some reason. I don't know if it helped anything, but it didn't hurt either.

The gun worked fine either way.

I find that the last few rounds under the greatest spring pressure don't always seat evenly, so I usually give the mag a gentle tap or two.

Didn't know this was thought of as a "myth" or even something that people did widely. I started doing this myself and have been for years...certainly doesn't hurt anything.

My Army pistorlaro smith instructed my to slap each round to seat. Perhaps it would reduce friction in the clip in the 1911.

Who knows perhaps John Browning sed so.
