So, how many carry doing yard work?

I just object to folks preaching that every waking hour REQUIRES a gun
Isn't it grand that we all can decide for ourselves what our personal risks are, and what we decide to do with that information?

However, you sir have provided a false premise based on inaccurate information, and when called on it have advanced a cavalier attitude.

I personally don't care if you choose to carry or not. Or if Bob down the road carries. Or if you carry a tune or a stainless S&W 500 in the shower under your Hello Kitty shower cap.

I completely understand your point, and respect it, including your previously recorded attitude toward statistics; however, if you are pulling stats out of the air, and want to include them in your arguments, don't be surprised if you are called on it.

Personal odds arent statistics, although statistics can enter into it.

For example, my particlar area of town has a rather high "violent crime rate". So statistically I should carry.

But by viewing the rate in a criminalogical perspective, I can ignore it.

Again...compare Richmond VA and Grosse Point MI

when your personal odds of getting hit by lightning are greater

Then say what you mean WA.

Some of us have a hard time reading into that mind of yours; as the Hello Kitty shower cap CC holster residue from the shower kind of gets in the way!

Richmond's only rough south of the James down into Hopewell and Colonial Heights. North Richmond is about as suburb/boring as it gets. Never seen such nicely dressed Section 8 recipients till I saw those of Glen Allen.

Hampton Roads on the other hand...

WA you are defending your position based on:
Its all about the odds that are personal to me.
after initially stating:
when your personal odds of getting hit by lightning are greater

I believe that is why originally Onward Allusion noted the "odds". And Mike Irwin also "chimed in".

So, I would say that, "You didn't". Unless you meant to tell us collectively each what our "personal odds" are.

Nope. Read it again. PM us and we will explain the literary usage.

Odds of getting struck by lightning in one's lifetime: ~10/100,000
Odds of being a victim of violent crime in a given year: ~450/100,000

I can't speak for others but for me it's never been about the odds, it's about the consequences if you are unprepared and should happen to pull the number out of the "bad luck lottery" hat.

Your majesty, I do not need to be schooled in the literary usage.

Please explain to our humble person why Onward Allusion and Mike Irwin responded as he saw fit.

Dancing on thin ice is not exactly something that folk in Alaska should be ignorant about.

Neither do we (usually; ok, sometimes not); speaking for me, myself, I... and Bob down the road.

Hence the general assumption that common usage of words is... well... common... "You" meaning, well, "you"... "Me" meaning, well, "me"...

Now, about my Governorship... would this involve a relocation? Bit of a wait on NASA as I understand it at present... Or is this more of an honorary title?

Now where have I heard that name before... Grysplit... now hold the phone, isn't that the place with the lightening and all of the inhabitants live underground quivering in fear for their lives?
