Smith & Wesson Model 19

I saw a mint model 19-4 on cabelas gun library for $499. $300 is a good price, if the grips are trashed, I wouldn't let that stop me.
I got lucky, mine came from a collection that the owner died and his daughter was selling off his guns. Mine looks like new. i put 100 rounds thru it last week, and that's probably the most it has been fired, since it was new.
All the other rifles he had are still in the boxes, wrapped in the moisture paper, so this pistol makes sense, that he was a man who loved to buy guns, but maybe not shoot them. Its my best option as a buyer.
I would pay the $499 for the like new 6 incher, rather than sweat a beat up gun for $300.00. At least you get to hold it before you buy it.
Search these forums for what to look for when buying a used revolver.
here is the link to Cabelas and the one I like.

got it

I ended up picking the piece up. It's way better than I thought it was now that it's cleaned up.

Hell of a deal I'd say. Here's a look.

S&W Model 19-4 6"

Hi guys ......... new here. Stopped by to check out what I have and how best to sell/trade.

S&W Model 19-4 6"barrel ............ original box and papers. Absolutly new condition, less than 50 rounds. Well cleaned and cared for ........ target trigger with stop, target hammer, rear sight micrometer adjust. Checkered Goncalo Alves target grip, square butt. ser.# 66k8988

I carry S&W Model 36 Airweight in a Forbus Standard Paddle. Very happy, but I want a Glock 27. Need to know value of 19-4 before I go shopping.

Also have 2 S&W 36 standard blued I want to get out of the safe. Suggestions for a DA only 9mm, small like the kel-tec, but one I can bet my life on.

I just picked up an excellent condition blue 19-4 with 4" barrel for $240 at my local gun shop. I went in looking for some 9mm ammo but couldn't pass it up. It's my first .357 magnum. It has Pachy grips so now I'm looking for some original grips to keep for posterity.

Yan66, thanks for posting the pictures of a very rare and interesting revolver. I prefer fixed sights on short barreled carry guns.

I carried a mod 19 as a LEO in the 80's so, when I came across this 19-2 a few years ago I had to have it.

It now sits in my parents night stand.:(

Model 19-3 4" Nickel

I have a chance to buy a model 19-3 4" nickel . It is in very good shape. The guy wants $500 for it. That also includes the shipping. It has target trigger, hammer, and sites. Is it worth it?

$500 for a nice 4" nickel 19-3 is about the going rate, locally.

Id get it, shoot it, love it.

Check what the asking price is on a new, current production, MIM parts, wind up 686.

Your getting a superior, good looking revolver, with everything you need and nothing you don't, for less. ;) Regards 18DAI.

I realize this is an old one, hope the bump is OK.

This is my Model 19-3. I've had it for probably about 30 years. I bought it from my Dad. He bought it from a family friend who needed some $$. The friend had the gun stolen, used in a bank robbery and eventually returned. It's a fun one to shoot. :D

Marlin 009

Looks like that piece had some aftermarket pinning done on the front sight, unless thats a stainless steel thing. I have zero pins on my front sight.
