Smith and Wesson serial number search

s/n 1D16XXX
SN's ran from 1D1 in 1976 to 1D30000 in 1977.
Your pics show as a red X for me.
If the side plate was not engraved and with the box/accessories, maybe $450.
It's not really worth the $200 to replace the sideplate though.

.38 Military & Police (postwar).
SN's ran from S811120 in 1945 to S999999 in 1948.
It went on to become the Model 10 when S&W began assigning model numbers around 1957.

BTW, barrel length is measured from the face of the cylinder to the end of the barrel.

Model 29-3, serial number AHF 6xxx
1986.

I fixed the image of the sideplate.

I paid 200 for it. What do you think it would be worth as is?

serial number 687237 with British Proofs
It's a .38/200 British Service Revolver (Model K-200).
These were sold to the British from 1940 to 1945. Yours dates from the first or second year.
I really don't know what the value on it would be but based on the condition, less than $500....

Note, the chambering is 38 S&W, not to be confused with 38 Special.

N4xxxxx ran from 1977 to 1978.

I just purchased 2 S&W model 19s and would like some help finding date of manufacture. The first is a S&W 19-3, blued 4", serial number 2K46XXX. The second is a S&W 19-6, Nickel 6", serial number BBF8XXX. Would appreciate all the info I can get. Thanks!

Needing a date on an I-frame, 32 S&W long Regulation & Police Target, 6" barrel with adjustable rear sights, serial number 5049XX. Best guess is somewhere mid-late 20's to mid 30's. Would like to narrow that down if possible.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Old Model 36

These older wheelguns are turning into a kind of addiction. Can anybody tell me the mfg date of what may be an early Smith 36 or Chief's Special. SN is 222778. It has the flat latch, Inch and 7-8ths barrel, blued, wood grips have same SN engraved inside. Finish is a little rough with rust spots but locks tight and shoots very nicely. Sure appreciate any help on its age.

S&W MOD. 36-2

S&W MOD. 36-2
Serial BDV8XXX
1 7/8" Barrel
Blued w/wood grips

Any additional information about this revolver would be most appreciated - Thank you
