Hi.
I´m Luis.
I have a blue S&W 952-1 in 5". 9MM caliber. Serial number KAZ1650.
How old is it?
Thanks for all.

Thank you for the video. Well done. Don't beat yourself up about the mistake. Even I have made one once. Of course that was when I thought I had made a mistake. :D

My specimen has little rust spots (well oiled now). It was left unattended for about 20 years. It's a great shooter. I will dispose of it because I am old, can't see the sights, and no one in my family is an enthusiast. That pistol has the cleanest breaking trigger I have ever felt.

Thank you again for your help.

Greetings;

New to the forum....(by the way, great forum!)

I'm trying to find out the model and year of a breakdown hammer action .38......Serial# 1850xx

A couple pics are posted here... http://newview10.tripod.com

Also...should I leave it in it's original condition, (keep the patina, etc) or should I clean it up? I'm thinking of finding out a value & selling it.

ANY help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

It's a .38 Double Action 3rd Model (Top-Break revolver).
Serial numbers ran from 119001 in 1884 to 322700 in 1895.
Leave it original. Value is not high, likely less than $300.

38 special otg,2988xx
I'm going to assume it's a six shot in which case the serial number would make it a .38 Military & Police 4th Change made ~1920.
Use only standard 38 special rounds, no +P.
"otg" is actually ctg which means cartridge.

I have a blue S&W 952-1 in 5". 9MM caliber. Serial number KAZ1650
2003.
Great gun, I have a 952-2 myself.

I could use some help also.
Can anyone tell me the approximate age and value of a Smith and Wesson 6 shot revolver, Serial # K 113XXX (someone posted to use an x for the last three numbers)?

I forgot to add that it is a .38 caliber/double action and he says that it looks to be in really good shape.

It belongs to a friend of mine and was his fathers.
Thank you

We have a very accurate pistol but I like blue to inox steel pistol ;).
I shoot with it around 6000- 9mm (lead bullet always) ctg since I bought (new) in 2006.
I love it.

Thanks for all, JIM.

I've got no info.....

Hey guys, I'm a newb to the forum. I'd go buy the S&W book, but I've only got one.

I'm trying to figure out the worth of all my guns and make sure my home owners insurance is high enough but I can't even figure out model of this pistol. It's a 357 mag, no model number anywhere on it. SN is D991547 has a couple other markings on the frame under the grips (an L in a triangle and a B in a circle)

Like I said, this is my only S&W and I know nothing about it other than it belonged to my father in law and was given to me when he died. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

My Dad passed down a S&W revolver, says that it belonged to his dad, but has no other information on it. It is 6-shot, stainless, says 32 Long CTG on the side of the barrel, and has the numbers 156xxx stamped below the grip, can anyone help with the model and approx date of the gun?

It would be a .32 Hand Ejector Model of 1903, 5th Change.
Serial numbers ran from 102501 in 1910 to 263000 in 1917.
The only factory finish offered was blued or nickel.
