Sippin around the camp fire

"New" camp favorite - obviously after everything is done for the day - Cuervo Black and Coke. I brought it along on a hog hunt on a whim (the advertising must of worked) and really was impressed.

I will say this.... liquor rather than beer is far more conducive to a pleasant next morning in a tree stand, or hunting in general, in terms of the number and effect of pee breaks on your stealth factor. If no hunting in store the next day, then beer is fine.

I don't even know what Woodford is.

I'm with Arizona Fusilier: Glenlivet, Glenfiddich for scotch wiskey, Jameson for irish wiskey, or good ol' fashioned Jack Daniels for 'murican wiskey. I like having a cigar handy, but it stinks up the clothes something fierce for the next day's hunt.

srtrax, there is usually a bottle of Turkey around our camp, or Crown, or JD, or whatevertheheckwasonsalethatday....Really depends on how cash flow looked as camp prep was going on....

Only thing we don't drink anymore is really cheap beer, that is worth a little extra money.

If it's hot, like a summer pig hunt- Try a Waia'nae Lemonade- Lemonade with Raspberry vodka in a large glass full of ice. I know it sounds sissy but it cuts through the dust, heat and humidity as well as a tall Gin and Tonic. Be careful this stuff will sneak up on you...
During the winter- A good Sourmash Bourbon & 7...Over ice.

of course, no drinking until after all the meat is hung and the rifles are put away...

Happy 4th all!

If it's hot....ice cold Coors Light. It is the state beer after all.

If it's not hot....a fine single malt straight up...Macallum 12 or 18 would be my preferrence.

Woodford's a smidgen smoother than Maker's Mark, which is a tad smoother than Wild Turkey. My ex-wife sent me a bottle of Woodford's for a birthday present...

Beer? No lightweights, no Lone Star, thank you. First choice is Dos Equis or Shiner Bock. But Bud Ain't Bad, these last 50+ years...

That was real nice of her, all mine done for me was to take me to the cleaners!:p But hey, that was long time ago and man do i smell good now!:D

I'll drink anything offered; except wines, ughh.

If I'm providing, it'll be Canadian Whiskey, near-cheap Vodka, or "the Beast" - my kids term for cheap beer.

With three college bills, its the best I can do.

Any of y'all tried Knob Creek bourbon? Purt' good, I must say.
I also like Wild Turkey 101, and Jack Daniel's.

The same thing that is sitting in front of this keyboard right now, Schlitz Malt Liquor.
Stuff get a BUM RAP (pun fully intended) I pack in a couple for the celebration of a successful hunt. I do have to bring it with,(out of state hunts) as even here the off sale has it special for me.
