First Sig I owned was a P220, purchased as a duty gun back in the early to mid eighties. Great gun! Extremely accurate and reliable, however..... It was equipped with the European magazine release. I'd found that after riding around in a patrol car for a while, the mag would eject (slightly) from the gun due to the clip type release coming into contact with the back of the car seat. Had to get into the habit of checking the mag every time I got out of the car. Found the magazine disconnected more times than I'd like to remember. Annoying and very unsafe! Anyway, got rid of the gun for that reason.
Second Sig was a P229 (40 S&W). For some reason, I couldn't shoot it near as well as I could my Glock 22. Was a tack driver for a friend, so I know it wasn't the gun. Sold it to him.
Currently, I own a Sig 232 Two-Tone. Carry it more often than not while off-duty during the summer months. Great gun! Very accurate, reliable, lightweight, and a dream to carry IWB.
Been kicking around the idea of another P220 with the "conventional" mag release. Hmmmmmmmm........

I have a sig P226 in 40. "Wow" is all I can say. The whole "inacurate" .40 argument goes out the window. I think this one is the best if you can't carry. (more power than 9mm and 3 more rounds than the P220 .45)

I have a Sig 2340 in both .40 witha drop in .357 Sig barrel and love them.

My first Sig was 220. Great pistol... accurate, reliable and comfortable. Second was 225... another great pistol but it was too big for compact pistol and too small for full size duty pistol. Traded for my current H&K P7M8. Third was 228 which was okay but the grip was too big for my short fingers. Overall a great line.

I bought my P226 over 10 years ago... in all that time, the only problem I've ever had was just recently: failure of the slide to lock back on empty mag (twice -- once was due to limp-wrist and real dirty, the other was a not-quite-seated mag -- both my bad).

I bought my P245 just a couple months ago, and I'm in love all over again. Strange thing, too -- I like fat grips (I put Pachmyers on my 226) but the 245 feels so comfy, even though it's small.

And, is it just coincidence (naaw...) that my P245 fits in all my P226 holsters? :)

Next up -- a P220. Mags fit the P245, and I'm guessing the bbl does to.

(But, why would you want a P220 bbl for a P245...? Oh, no reason...)
