Finally....
Hi gang, just wanted to give my final update to this thread (haven't seen much mentioned on this Model and thought there might be interest). Due to a number of circumstances, i just haven't been to the range since i picked up my Model 60.
FINALLY, yesterday was the day.... made it to the range with a couple of buddies and gave her a quick workout. Put 50 rds. of 44 Spl through her and was very, VERY pleased.
To be honest, first time i'd ever fired a 44 to any extent and was expecting MUCH more recoil. I have to say the Mod 69 handled it quite well. I found double action to be very nice, maybe a shade heavy, but not even close to being unacceptable, but it's still early on, so that may change over time. Single action was fantastic. Definitely a keeper.
Sighted in beautifully from the factory. First 4 of 5 were in the bull, with 1 just outside... Similar results as i worked my way through the ammo. A couple of flinches here and there were the only times that i found myself with a less than acceptable result . All in all, I don't think i could be much happier with my new revolver. Happy 2015 to all.
(Next trip I'll get familiar with firing a few 44 Mag rounds, where i'm sure there will be a significant bump up in recoil)
