Ruger VS S&W newb questions.

I long ago in this thread accepted the answer on the word "bolt" and said so, having done the homework assignment and found it on the Colt SAA parts list and exploded drawing, yet it is still being used to beat me up over this.

My issue was more with the word "bolt" being used with "cut". I found multiple alternative terms but no reference to "bolt cut", so I think it is good scholarship to be skeptical about the "bolt cut" term and to opt for one of the readily found, documented terms.

How about a little grace here and just admit that you forget where and how you learned the term "bolt cut"? All I wanted to know was to what you were referring, and now I know. But I will choose to call it something else.

"Get a .500.

I'm serious. You can reload for it easily, and can even make ".500 S&W Special" loads that are much easier on you. I recommend either the 6" or 8 3/8" versions.

Trust me, they are like losing your virginity. You might be nervous the first time you do it, but after that, nothing else compares.-CENSORED-"
