Ruger 22/45 is junk

My 22/45 has been outanding. My granddaughter is just thrilled to shoot it. She got addicted when she shot an EXACT center on a bullseye target. The pistol suffers from the same disassemnly/reassembly properties going back to the earliest ones of the 1950s. You just have to get used to being careful and watching where the mainsprint strut goes. I would be happy to receive ANY Ruige I, II, III, or 22/45.

In 60+yrs. of this love affair with firearms,I've learned one thing. Some guns and owners are not compatible and should part company. :D

I agree with Skeets!

Ruger MK series, including the 22/45 variants don't deserve a bashing like this thread started with!

I was interested in them when they came out...

I handled a few in the stores, non of the mags would drop free.
Not that big of a deal, and it could probably be an easy fix after looking into it, but after noticing that I just kinda lost interest.

I'm a Mark II kinda guy:D

Funny, because the Mark II is not exactly a drop free design! HAH:)

Several shooters at the range I use swear that their Rugers are the bomb, but a hassle to clean. My Buckmark is great, but a hassle to clean. My Buckmark will shoot most any ammo I feed it these days. That was not the situation when it was new. It would jam, misfire, and not cycle completely for the first few hundred rounds with some ammo.
