Roll call.

There will be at least five of us from Humboldt County at the Sacramento march.

For those going to Chicago, here's the directions as sent to me by one of the Chicago AIMM organizers:
<BLOCKQUOTE><font size="1" face="Verdana, Arial">quote:</font><HR>
Hope these directions are helpful. First of all, I want to tell you that there is no "Grant Park North" garage, just the Grant Park Monroe Street Garage (also a GPark South garage, but that is much further south-not to worry)
Of course, you're coming from the south direction, so get on Lake Shore Drive going north. Exit the street Monroe (preceeding exits will be Roosevelt, Jackson) After exiting at Monroe, you'll make a left (a right turn will lead you into Lake Michigan-free car wash!) Then make a right on
Columbus and stay on the right side. Signs will then lead you into the garage. Try to park further north in the garage. After you park, you can access the garage close to the rally site by looking for the sign "North East Exit" which will lead you to Randolph, the street closest to the rally site.
The correct address for the garage is 350
E. Monroe, and it's phone # is 1-312-742-7644. Hope to see ya!
It starts at noon on Sunday on the Lakeshore Path (Randolph Street off Lakeshore Drive). There will be a memorial for women who were murdered and who could have saved themselves if they had been armed.

I'll be in my neon pink Women AGAINST Gun Control hat. That color definately sticks out in a crowd. :D

So,

This is what it takes to get gunnies off their butts? Gettin' serious, eh?

Make the most of this opportunity. Both to get your message across and to meet other gunnies.

As for me, I will be at Phoenix Patriots Park.

I have never seen such a buzz in the gunnie community as I have seen on this issue. We will Rock.

Make sure you contact all the gun ranges and gun shops in your immediate area. You would be surprised how many people do not know anything about the DC MMM, let alone one in their own neighborhood.

The 2.5 acre Patriots Park is going to be awful crowded.

Painting signs as we speak.

"Is this what it takes to get gunners off their butts?"

Why should this be any different? The antis've been stealing our rights (seems like) forever & they've no plans to stop. It's just another ramp-up while the blood is in the water.

But, maybe, just maybe, all the complacents on our side are finally starting to get a clue & waking up. If we'd only get even 1% of "our people" to become actively involved, we wouldn't be in the mess that we are.

Bit of an update. Secret's out anyway ....

Go here http://www.trteam.com/news_briefings.html
to vote on whether or not CO's TRT should get (in Reno's words) a "pretty good rental." Besides, "ferrets" are endangered" and it shows our tender side.

Plan to drive this sucker around & around the MMM's "rally" in Denver. .... a little real "street theater," don'tcha think? ;)

It'll look pretty snazzy with a Tyranny Response Team banner emblazoned upon its flanks.

Phoenix, Patriot's Park.

I'll be wearing my yellow polo shirt with: <BLOCKQUOTE><font size="1" face="Verdana, Arial">quote:</font><HR>Thanks Clinton and Congress for making our schools gun free so our children could die defenseless!
on the back.

It contrasts very well with my Glock which I will also be wearing.

It's my first counter-march and even typing about it now I find that my adrenaline begins to flow! :D

For Chicago, how about just yelling "TFL" until we all get connected?

FWIW, I _hate_ Chicago. If the laws there are any stricter than they were last time I was there, I could be arrested for just owning a gun in Wisconsin.

We will not be bringing ANY weapons to the march. I think this would be a good idea.
Something to think about!

I would strongly suggest that any who can legally carry = do so.

Damn! What is it that we are all fighting for?

Hate to even start to take this off-topic, but - damn!

We, when first doing the whole TRT-bit, discussed this at length. & although noone could tell another what to do (that's our nature), we did kick it around.

There is absolutely NO reason why one should not exercise their rights at ANY place & regardless of the circumstances.

If you're legal, do it!

Thought a pix of TRT's "CCW-thing" would have been up in here by now (oops!) but, "the feret" is a wheeled armored vehicle with main turret & sporting a (?) 40mm gun-tube. Fully street-legal & the CO TRT will have THAT at the MMM udder-fest.

The SAS-AIMM event is a coupla miles away & will have their own special things happenin'.

You know what bums me out to no end?

We have had many discussions that centered on SAS not getting into the faces of the MMMs. Well, that's OK & fine w/me. CO SAS wanted to do their own non-confrontational show. Zip prob. BTW, RMGO (CO GOA) will be at that event.

They do their bit & we'll do ours.

BUT! Where the hell is CSSA (CO NRA)!? Where's the rest of the Colorado shooting community/ies!?

Not one damned word! Not one! In support of SAS-AIMM or to say they don't approve of MMM. Nothing. Nada. Zip.

Buncha sissies.

If even 1% of the Colorado shooting (or any pro-rights groups) would show up at either event, we could have 5K!+ at each, but .
.
.

I'm disgusted.

This complacency crap has got to stop!

If we had only 1% actually standing up for their own rights, we would not even be in the fix we are in today. S#!+!

But, I'm hopeful. We're getting .05% to start gettin' out .... that is a start.

7.62,

I'm siding with labgrade on this. It's going to be confrontational, yes. However, because they are marching against the right we are defending, we need to excercise that right IN THEIR FACE!

Why should be be "nice"? They are not, even though their intentions are noble, they are treading on our God-given rights in the name of their irresponsibility and will create more criminals through the legislation that they want passed.

I will be clean, shaved, wearing clean jeans, my clean yellow shirt, good, non-holey shoes, and I'm even thinking of bringing my oldest boy who is seven to see what it means to stand for what is right in the face of unholy opposition!

Fight fire with fire.

RickD has done some research on the legality of carrying in the park. The Phoenix city statute says that it's legal to carry it but not to discharge it for anything other than self-defense.

If you e-mail him I'm sure he can get you a copy of the code.

We have a game plan of coming to support anyone one our team (all pro-gun supporters) who is harrassed by the police for carrying.

Make two signs to carry. One for yourself and one for someone who did not.

Nikita Khrushchev predicted confidently in a speech in Bucharest, Rumania on June 19, 1962 that: " The United States will eventually fly the Communist Red Flag...the American people will hoist it themselves."

I agree in principle, but i think this is going to get confrontational and i want no gun phobic fence sitters to side with the"moms" if things get serious. I would rather look 100% harmless. And will use the Gandi-King idea of letting them "look violent".
Perhaps i am over cautious but i think perception be it ever so warped is most important here.
Just my opinion!
