Rock Chucker Supreme Master Reloading Kit

A case trimmer is a must, a fired case will expand & stretch , when you size the case it (most of the time ) will have to be trimmed . It needs that trim so the case isn't topped out in the chamber to release the bullet. Your local gun shop is doing right by you so see what trimmers they have.

I was able to get the last press.

I have not gotten a lead pot or molds yet

I started looking at two different case trimmers that are sold at Cabelas. There was a RCBS Trim Pro 2 manual case trimmer kit for $120 and Trim Pro 2 power case trimmer kit at $300.

I did also see a Quick-N-EZ case tumbler for $45.

I am looking into getting the dies for the 30-06.

I did get from online a video about loading for hand gun and rifle in under 41mins. It is an old video but thorough step by step using the press I have.

Be careful of Cabelas they are higher than most. Now and then they have great sales but, rule of thumb they are high. Try Midway USA https://www.midwayusa.com/product/817007/rcbs-trim-pro-2-manual-case-trimmer-kit and Amazon believe it or not. they sell a lot of reloading equipment. Just bought a set LEE dies for $28 including shipping. Not saying you'll always do better there but there are tons of places to go. Powder and primers unless you buying bulk it's better to find locally because you'll pay a$20 hazmat fee + regular shipping.

I don't have a case trimmer either. I have a lot of equipment to get.

Ok, I will be up front, I have a fixed in stone view on this. Off the shoulder trimmers are the only way to go.

The trim, chamfer and deburr are the only way to go of that type.

I have a Trim it II now, will see how it does on multiple calibers, problem is you have to adjust the trim.
It is easy to adjust the blade though, nice job, have not got enough stretch in the 7.5 I ordered the adaptor in to try it.
I may order another adaptor (I have two of the Gérard Tri Trimmers, wonderful tools, only issue is you can't change calibers though they will work for multiple common shoulder cartridges)

That seems to be the poor mans best option.

Chuck it up in a drill, turn drill upside down, clamp in vice, set the trigger on, you can produces like the Gerard Trimmer.

Gerard makes what they call Tri Trimmer for a dill, very good, about $100 each. So if you get into multiple calibers? Yep, pay the price again. Also easy to adjust but not as easy as the Trim it II.

Last: If you really plan on more than 4 calibers,

Gerard Motorized Unit: All the advantages of the rest, its own motor and you can get adaptors and change in a matter of a few minutes.

With all of them you can process a case in about 5 seconds total.

I have the RCBS manual trimmer, works great for all my calibers. Can't go wrong with RCBS full size & seating die set .

I just bought a Lyman 50th edition.

I saw a Hornady 9th on sale but is it better to get an up to date edition? The 10th edition. I see the publication dates are a few years apart. As someone said in this post, there are new powders, bullets that come out.

Does this apply to other reloading books as well? Not trying to be cheap on the books, but if not necessary then I would be buying an older edition.
