Road Trip Carry Gun? What's yours?

So...since I've got the Glock 27 it's come with me already 3 times. Since it's so small. Everything else I have is a behemoth. I carry them all, and not so much the Glock 27...so why is it the go to on road trips? Maybe cause of what I said. It's so darn small. I prefer carrying full-size. Oh well...gotta give a little lol



What do you guys carry when you go on a road trip for a few days?
 
I keep a Sig 226 under my leg while driving, and HK P2000SK on my hip so I have something when I get out for food and gas etc. and a Sig 556 folded up in the back. May seem like overkill but its better to have, than not.
 
Either my S&W 637 or my Ruger LCP. I've got a couple of road trips coming up, one short and one long, I'm debating which one is going with me.
 
Same thing I always carry - STI Shadow .45ACP

I've got a nice CED pouch that looks like a dayplanner. I usually have a full size auto and it has a pouch that will hold one double stack or two single stack mags the last trip I made it was my Ruger P97 often its a 1911. Also always have one of my pocket guns along.
 
Browning High Power with 4x22shot magazines as well as a 15 shot that sits flush and depending on length of travel, a long gun too.

The reason is that should the vehicle break down for any reason in the middle of nowhere i can defend myself and my family for an extended period of time should i need to..

Oh, my little 950 goes EVERYWHERE with me so count that in too.

For long road trip...

Either S&W 642 or 442 w/speed loader that stays on me and either a Para 45 Carry Companion w/extra mag or Beretta 40cal model 96D w/extra mag that stays in car.

Amin! Ya habibi, lol nice. That's awesome, yet my high-power mags only hold 13rds? Weird...maybe they're just as ancient as the gun :P

Thank you, I try to make topics that everyone can relate to. Most of the time ;)

Next time I'm bringing my XD45 or custom 1911. Which btw I got the chance to shoot into a barrel. That new trigger is. AMAZING
 
Constantine how you doing? I have an aftermarket Mec-Gar 15 round mag that sits flush. The standard magazines are all 13 shot.

Congrats on your 1911. I saw a pic of your 1911 frame and am very very impressed.
