All my revolvers are single action. I can shoot them alot better than double actions, probably because I grew up on them..

Onlt got one SA wheel gun, a Hartford Bisley clone. Pretty nice gun, for the price I paid.

I have, uh... fifteen DA revolvers, In Ruger, Taurus, S&W, Colt, Iver Johnson, Meriden, and Webley flavors.

Oh yeah, and one Clerke First .32 that barely counts as a gun. (It DOES work. I put five rrounds through it just to make sure.)

Dan's Revolver Score is:

Double Action's = 3 Single Action's = 0

I have three double actions, all S&W,a model 36 .38, a 686 .357, and a 629 Classic .44 mag.

I have one single action.
I just got a Ruger single six .32 birdshead.

I will get more single actions someday.;)

More DA's than SA but often shoot my DA's SA. So how do I score that.

And Mike Irwin

We'll get you into SA's one day soon. After all, you're still young ;)

Have NO single actions, 3 standard revolvers. Of course, I've been eyeing those Ruger .32 Magnums with the birdshead grips, so things could change down the road.

I grew up shooting SAA's and Ruger SA's and have to admit to owning more than my share of each of those. I do have 3 Da revolvers though.

I have 3 SA's (2 Rugers and a Colt clone), and 4 DA's, though I usually shoot my DA's SA. I just like the DA erganomics when shooting the .44Mag at full power levels.

DA

All the revolvers I have are DA (and a DAO sp101). I did shoot a blackhawk .357 once though. :) I do have a SBH on layaway at the store. I'll have a SA sometime soon. Not much of a reason for avoiding SA's, just haven't picked any up until now. Of course my first couple of purchases were with defense in mind (GP-100 and the SP101).

Can't imagine why you folks have so many of those old fashion DA revolvers when Ruger and Freedom Arms are making such fine modern SA revolvers. Dennis

Recently I added another SA Revolver so it is now tied: 6SA = 6DA

SA Revolvers include: 2 Colts (both a 1st & 3rd generation), 2 Ruger Vaquero "Birdhead" Models, and 2 US Abilenes.

DA Revolver include: 2 S&W J Frame Revolvers and 4 S&W N Frame Revolvers (mostly limited edition models).

I gone through a bunch of them over the last 30 years and consider these to be the keepers.

I have 3DAs and 3 SAs.

The 3DAs are: Taurus M44 .44 Mag 6" barrel, Ruger GP100 .357 Mag 4" barrel and my new Para Ordnance C7.45 LDA.

The 3 SAs are: S&W 22a .22, Browning Hi-Power 9mm and my Springfield Armory 1911 .45acp.

I own...

Just one J (M60-10), but I only shoot it single action (for acceptable results beyound 15 yds.) - so how's that for cross dressing? I'm jones'n for a single six but, sadly, it ranks behind a cherry M19 or M586. So no hope for an SA before a few more paychecks.
Good shootin'
