Revolvers vs Clips

I'd like to add an update!

I have actually decided to go with revolvers for plinking and for my home's defense. I am going to get the Rough Rider .22lr 6.5" barrel for plinking, and a Cimarron 1851 R/M conversion for my home. BUT I found a nice gun for the car IF I am applicable for a license to carry a firearm for my car, I found the cz 83 in the .380 caliber!

What do you guys think?

I think you should get a Czech police surplus CZ-82 instead- it's the same gun in 9x18mm Makarov rather than .380ACP. The gun will probably be cheaper ($180-$200), and at the moment, the ammo is much more readily available.

I have never owned a semi auto 22lr handgun before and got a Buck Mark last week from another fellow member off another site..And this is got the most fun I have. This thing is very accurate;and cheap to shoot if you got the ammo;which I do..

I'm assuming you live in DE by your profile. If it were me, I'd save up another $60-$70 and get a Glock 17 or 19 as they can easily be had used in the low $400's here. 9mm is a much more versatile round then everything you've listed and is a better self defense round as well.

Huh? I really could of sworn that the .38 speacil was a popular round or atleast easy to come by...is this false?

Big Tom: .38 spl is a very common round, and was readily available before B'Obama took office and the ammo scare began in earnest. These days, If I find a box of FMJ for <$25 I BUY IT! Ditto for .357.

this gun is for home defense at closer quarters (a maximum of 10 feet). A .38 can put you down AND if someone attacks at night and you shoot a .357 you can be temperarily blinded by the flash it makes.
