The GP and Blackhawk are both excellent choices. I'd like to get a Blackhawk in .44 Mag myself one of these days.

You'll definitely want an 1873 SAA or clone at some point. I have 2 (a Cimarron 4.75" blued / color case hardened and a 5.5" Nickel Uberti). Now I'm eyeing a S&W No 3 top break clone. Maybe a classic snub nose .38 like a S&W Model 36 Chief's Special or Colt Detective Special. Something chambered in .44 Mangle'em a bit later. It's a sickness that never goes away
