Has anyone done business with these guys? I see some stuff I'd like to get but it's hard to tell how legitimate they are. thnx.
 
I've never used them. I was going to suggest checking with the BBB in their area, but I see they don't have their address in their Contact Us data. Odd. No wonder you are asking. Just have to wait and see if someone else on the board has used them.
 
If I'm thinking about the same sight, they don't show items in stock but instead say it "usually takes a few weeks to get their source". That's a warning flag for me plus the lack of contact. Plenty other great fenders out there so I'd give them a miss IMHO.

Visa or Master Card will give you arbitration that you will always win if you are right.

No hope with pay pal arbitration, but ebay has a primitive system to get a remedy.

I have had problems with things sent from individuals on forums, and we usually compete to see who can be more magnanimous.

I have never had to use the credit card arbitration threat for gun stuff, but I have for cancelled carpet installation. They may talk tough, but once you say you are calling the credit card company, they give up and give in.

I learned about that from a neighbor. She challenged things all the time and always won. She really abused the process.
 
I found some long hoped for 2400 at Reloading Unlimited a few weeks ago and ordered a few of pounds. I also picked up some S&B primers. Their powder prices are high but their S&B primers price was decent. I ordered the wrong primer size by mistake, called them and they changed the order to the correct size without any issues. Also, I believe if there is an in stock number on the item page they have that much in stock. It went down the appropriate amount after I placed my order. If I need something bad enough that I am willing to pay their price I would definitely order from them again. I mean they had 2400. What else can I say....:eek:
 
I picked up some H110 from them about 8 months ago. They billed me the appropriate amount and shipped on time. As someone else said, their prices are on the high side, but it was a situation of them having it and me wanting it.

If you are willing to pay their prices, order to your heart's desire. They were a solid business when I delt with them and I would order again if the situation called for it.
 
They have A #7 which I've seen nowhere else. Anyways--thanks for confirming. I was kinda wondering if this was a legitimate store you can actually visit or if it was just a online middleman looking to make some bucks on people desperate for hard-to-find stuff.
 
I am a repeat customer for stuff no one else has. I'll pay the price. I first dealt with them face to face at our local gun show, the circuit for which is their regular outlet and can make sense of their prices, when hoarders try to clean them out in first few hours of the first day, leaving nothing for those who actually need it. No quantity limits though. If they say they have it, they have it in stock.

I did get snookered on AA#9 though. After a long drought I bought at $25 a pound (8 pounder) plus HAZMAT and shipping. Next thing I know, Powder Valley has it for significantly less, but which wouldn't cover gun show expenses. Just understand that you are dealing with a gun show dealer who also sells on line. If you really need it, buy it.
 
I went ahead and bought some Accurate #5. Price isn't all that bad and when you deduct all the tickets for gun shows (only to find nothing I wanted to buy) it will probably cover the shipping and hazmat fee.
 
Wow, I think that you must REALLY need powder to buy from these guys! And people complain about CTDs prices and the way they jacked up prices. I just purchased 4 pound jug of Winchester 296 and 5k S&B sr primers from powder Valley. $227 delivered. These guys are wanting $244 without shipping,add their flat rate of $45 and you are at a hair under $290!!!!!!!! 28% premium! And im not positive that the $28.50 hazmat is in the $45 shipping, their notice at top of page leads me to think that is an addition charge.

Search a bit more, save your $ for a bit and buy more cheaper. I've bought from PV, Recobs, Wideners in past 6 months and they have had almost every powder in stock at one point or another....... I've plenty now, go buy!:D

Oh, powder Valley has the S&B primers for $22 a K not $26 that these guys list at!
 
Didn't really need it, just wanted it. Tired of spending time searching on line and going to gun shows. Ended up about $28 a pound delivered, certainly not great but not that bad either. Powder Valley would have been about $35 cheaper but they don't have it and these guys do.
 
I was on the site yesterday--was about to pull the trigger on 2 lbs of #7 and two lbs of 2400--$150 or $37.50 a lb shipped--nope, couldn't bring myself to do it.

Your order is too small to support HAZMAT and shipping charges. Otherwise, the level of expense is something you need to accept. I usually start at 10 pounds, mostly thinking how glad I am to have located a source. It doesn't have a big effect on cost per shot. The problem comes with those who shoot crazy numbers, but they don't likely buy only 4 pounds at a time.
 
And if you had searched you could have saved $200:eek:
Sorry, again no thank you, and yes 4lbs is low, but 5k of primers evens it out, primers are close to $40 a k with tax. Local that is. . These guys are stupid expensive and you can't buy enough from them to reduce cost.
 
Where? Who has Accurate 5 7 9 in stock?

I make $150 an hour. Searching online, waiting, driving around... No matter what I'd have lost money any other way.
