Reloading .357 rifle ammo

If you got something else from what I wrote, then I apologize for your lack of comprehension.

I think it is more a matter of what was literally written, leaving little to inference. There seemed to clearly be a justifying of Rex Reloader messing with loads above standards and which were undocumented as tested and certified by some more credible source than merely his arrogance.

Yes, there is little doubt that commercial ammo has offerings that go beyond SAAMI standards, but I expect those companies are all lawyered up, use disclaimers freely, and are responsible about testing.

Interesting comment about foreign ammo, and foreign guns also present a question about their range of capabilities, no "+p", for example. One has to know a lot in order to really be safe in going above and beyond.

It's pretty obvious I along with others here are comprehending what you said just fine. The sure sign of a loosing argument is when folks feel the need to try and belittle their opponent with snide comments when their facts and opinions prove non-valid. That's pretty well universally comprehended and exhibited here.

while I am not aware of any commercial .357 loads above SAAMI specs, in other calibers loads outside SAAMI specs are commercially loaded.

The why inject this into a thread about reloading for .357, when it adds no validity to your argument and gives no nothing useful? I doubt if you even realized there were no commercial .357 loads above SAAMI until I mentioned it in the post prior to yours. and thus "believed" there were.

One of the most frustrating things I see on reloading forums is folks that don't have a clue, giving bad info, generally that coincides with their statements about how safe it is to go beyond SAAMI specs with loads. Usually Elmer Keith's name comes up and how he developed new calibers by exceeded industry standards and blowing up guns. But the OP is not looking to creat a new caliber nor is he trying to blow up his 77/357. He's just looking for a pig hunting load, which is obtainable with safe, tested published recipes. If that cannot be obtained, the sensible thing would be to go to a larger caliber and not run hot loads thru a rifle not intended to do so. Suggesting anything different is foolish.
