Red Bull Ate My LCP

Have you ever damaged a firearm unexpectedly?
Spilled/splattered a can of Red Bull on my work bench. Thought I cleaned up the spill. Noticed about 6 hours later that my LCP had been splashed with Red Bull. Wiped it off and the blueing came off.

I should show this to my students, except they'd freak out at the sight of a gun and tell their parents who would call my administrator and...

Never mind.

I've long heard that either Coke or Pepsi (depends on who's telling the story) will remove blueing from a gun. I'd guess it's because most soft drinks are acidic (my dentist told me that the pH is about 1-2).

It will be gone in about 10 days.

Back in the mid 60's I had a part-time job,,,
At an RC Cola bottling plant.

The truck maintenance crew used RC to de-grease truck parts.

Or if you really wanna freak out,,,
Drop one of your kids teeth in a bottle of Coke.

Sue Red Bull for ruining your gun. hey people sue Mc Donalds and starbuck over coffee and tea spills . Here your chance to get rich. Is their a warning on the can That will remove the bluing. I don't think so. Sue Ruger they also left warning about redbull off their slide warning book . Go for the bucks .!!!!! its the American Way.
 
Call Ruger up and tell them the truth behind the bluing loss. Even if it's your fault, they might reblue it for free.....IF you don't play games with them.

Dang, imagine what my insides look like! I'm a Red Bull junkie. I agree with the above statement of calling Ruger and seeing if they'll help you out. They've been good to me.
 
Coke will eat your teeth right out of your head I have a cousin addicted to the stuff he's 25 and wears dentures... nasty stuff...
