The best CC for this question is the P3AT with the square off pocket holder or laser. It hides low in a rear levis' pocket and looks like a wallet print. The weight and size are the lowest. Reliability is very good as long as the gun is kept clean, oiled and fed the right ammo (Hornady makes a .380 that is highly reliable.) Ball ammo has never FTF or FTE in about 2K rounds. The DAO trigger is good. YMMV. Where's the extractor on a Seecamp, anyway? All small autos are touchy. I like the Airweight SW 642 enclosed hammer for front pocket carry cant be beat. Good luck and try them all.

Both of my Guardians have been 100% the 32 and 380, haven't had a chance to hold the LCP but the Keltec felt cheap in my hand, I didn't like it at all. I don't even know the 380 Guardian is there anymore, right front pocket in a Nemisis holster.

They mass produce an inferior product and then slap a warranty on them knowing that the vast majority of them will never even be fired.

Never fired? Stretcher.

Kel-Tecs work fine. One thing I didn't know and that caused me problems with my P-32: you have to support the side of the gun when you pull out the assembly pin.

Other than that (my fault), no problems with my current P-32. This was the gun I carried for years before I switched to a Model 85 (another second-rate, loser gun).

Had a problem* with an early P-32, but Kel-Tec fixed that and I ended up selling that one because I didn't need two P-32s. I suspect the P3s are pretty well perfected now.

*I believe this draw-bar problem was a well-known issue with early P-32s.

JMOfartO:

I think the Seecamp pistol, be it in 32cal. or 380cal is the absolute best little pocket hand cannon made..

But I'm prejudiced.. :D

I have an LWS32 & LWS380, (I carry the LWS380 daily).. My wife has her own LWS32.. Absolute top quality, extremely reliable, and very easy to conceal.

FWIW. I've owed the NAA Guardian (in 32cal), KelTec P32, Beretta Tomcat in the past and my experiences with both the Guardian and KelTec were excellent. I would recommend either one of those, I just prefer the Seecamp.

The Beretta Tomcat was junk, and Beretta Customer Service was abysmal.. I would not recommend the Tomcat (even tho I've read the later models were beefed up and are fine), simply because Beretta Customer Service is so bad.:barf:

You won't go wrong with the Guardian, or the P32, but the pick of the litter, imo is the Seecamp.

Just from what I've read, I think after all the bugs are found for Ruger by the free "beta-testing" owners of early LCP's, the LCP will be another viable option, still not a Seecamp, but certainly a good choice for those who don't care to have the best.. (Just kiddin' Ruger folks)

Just personal opinion, no offense to those who favor others.

Best Wishes,

Jesse

Colt Mustang Pocketlite SS

If you want something affordable, Ruger LCP... But the 12oz Colt Mustang Pocketlite is the legend, my $.02 and is my "other" vote.

I didn't vote, but if I did it would've been for the Seecamp .380 ACP. Not too familiar with the North American Arms .380, but that could be a good choice and costs less than the Seecamp. I've owned my share of mouse guns, and I like them. For self defense I don't like anything smaller than .38 special. I carry a S & W Model 642 in a Mika holster in my front pants pocket. If I wanted to change to a semi-auto pistol, it might be a Kahr PM-9.

I'll just stick with my SA-9. Yes, It's cheap. Nobody likes them. I'm no expert, but after about 2000 rounds with no problems, breaks, or misfires, I'm happy with it. And you can almost carry it in your hand, concealed.

For those of you who suggest the S&W 642, how do you carry them?

I have a Taurus 651 (of comparable size) which I occassionally carry IWB or OWB, but I couldn't imagine trying to carry it in a pocket all day. Its bulky, heavy (though Smiths are lighter) and just plain awkward. Admittedly, its been a while since I've handled a Smith J frame, but I don't remember it being that much different.

You left out one of the best ... I carry a Kahr PM9 daily; in a pocket holster during the summer and in a Galco paddle holster when it's cooler and I don't want to pack my Kimber ... the Kahr is lightweight, holds 7 rds of 9mm, is accurate and, at least in my case, totally reliable.
