One more hijacked plane in the air

There are reports that there is one more plane still airborne. They are considering shooting it down. No link yet.
 
Katie Couric and Tom Brockaw argue on live TV.

Brockaw condemns "failure of intelligence" and predicts heads will roll.

Couric notes we live in a free society and total knowledge and intelligence is not possible.

Argument continued until break for on-scene reporting.

Note: Brockaw's full of crap. We have no way of knowing, at the moment, WHAT the intelligence community knew, what they reported (or to whom), and who ignored what was reported.

This is not the time for unfounded, biased, self-serving, subjective speculation.

San Antonio, TX:

All federal facilities, all military facitiies have been closed. All non-essential personnel have been sent home. Facilities closed to all non-essential personnel.
 
My sister was at Ohare yesterday and the security was VERY intense. I suspect we had some idea something was gonna happen. I bet Israel warned us and we didn't have time to set up enough measures to be safe. Israel probably has lists. Any bets on how many people on those lists live through the week?
 
Again, report of car bomb at State Department denied. At this time, the car bomb is considered a false report.

We bombed ourselves so we can get $8Trillion for a missile defense fund..

But that wouldn't have helped in this case..

Federal Protective Service says there was no car bomb at State Dept

VERY sad day. We must remain calm and not speculate and do anything stupid until we know who/what we're dealing with. This is an abomination.

Time for prayers for the victims.
 
FBI reports that FAA indicates a United Airlines aircraft has crashed at Camp David. Report not yet confirmed.
 
Thanks to all who are posting facts. I cannot get through to even local news sources, and I have no radio or tv available. We must all pray for the souls of the innocent who have died and been injured today, and their families.

The second plane to hit the World Trade Center originated in Boston, was diverted to JFK (apparently by terrorists) and then swerved into the second WTC building. The destination originally was Los Angeles (destination - not origin). That means there was much more fuel onboard than if it had been near the end of its flight....

Report of Capitol under attack apparently is false.

Report of car bomb at State Dept apparently false.
