Currently, DFLP says they do not attack civilians not involved with their struggle, etc.

Fox news reports that military aircraft are patroling over washington DC,i saw what appeared to be a cobra helicopter flying over the petagon on their video
 
Near Ohare here. A friend works at Ohare, they brought in all planes. CHAOS at the airport and police are all over blocking streets to the airport.

I'm praying for everyone :(

This is horrible news. Just Horrible.

Pentagon has been hit, Capitol Hill has been hit too. This is grim. This is beyond terrorism and has crossed over to acts of war.

Hijackings and possible bombings... Nasty Day.
 
this is a great tradgedy.......i have several freinds in manhattan right now working and they none of them can be reached.....i cant believe this.....actually......yes i can......FDR drive, lincoln tunnel, bridges, all on lock down. everyone here in NY that i have spoken to cant even move right now......

Moderator notes only bin laden has shown ability to coordinate such attacks in the past. This is only his supposition.

But really, it's not about who is responsiblwe - it is about US being HATED by SO MANY people.
Of course they are gonna take shots.
We strong arm everyone, so of course we have to expect a reaction.

Let's see if Bush can get out of his "let's get along" mode. This is horrible. It will have a chilling effect on the economy. Bush will be pressured to act long before he knows what has transpired.
 
I saw the tower fall from my office! :( I think today would count as a SHTF day. I think we can kiss ALL our civil rights goodbye.

Dennis, I agree.

DFLP is in no position to mount this kind of attack.

In order to carry out this attack you'll need the following:

1) Dedicated people who are educated enough to fly large multi-engine jet aircraft and fanatic enough to die in them

2) An organization tight enough not to leak information to counter-terror agencies

3) Enough resources to support an organization and carry out multiple coordinated attacks on disparate geographical targets.

4) Some place to organize and train for this where you won't draw unwanted attention.

I don't think DFLP has any of those qualities and they are certainly well-penetrated by the Israeli's

My initial supposition would be that we are looking at foreigners (among Americans who have enough education to carry out that kind of attack, somebody would leak to the FBI) and that they are likely operating with covert support from a nation or state.
 
Initial reports are usually very speculative in nature.

Let's hold off planning the Nation's response until we know all the facts.
 
If bombs drop in retaliation, they'd better drop on the right head.
