Well, since I'm home and have put my carry gun away in the safe, It would be an HK USP 40 with 14 rounds and night sights. That's my go-to home defense pistol and the only one I don't keep in the safe.

At work so no guns aloud, even though i work for a government agency in a extension of the criminal division(stupid policy), unless i go down to the evidence section and find one in there to use. But when im home my home defense pistol sitting in my nightstand is a S&W 4006TSW, with winchester 180gr bonded hollow points. Love that pistol.

I made this thread just to start-up some forum activity on a slow summer day. I never thought it would still be going strong. I guess the simple premise makes it fun and (if you're like me) you can post a different response depending on your current location. Pretty cool. FWIW my closest gun right now is my LCP with Hornady Critical Defense ammo.

My CZ-P07 is right in front of me. I'm putting two rounds in the magazine. I fired two rounds to take a life tonight.

My wife ran over a cat. The thing was in bad shape. She refused to run over it and finish it. She also didn't want to pick it up and take it to an emergency animal hospital. So, I had to get out and finish the poor creature.

It took two shots. Right as I was about to take the first shot my wife screamed, "no." It startled me and I pulled the shot. It was a bad situation all around.
