PX4 Storm - Attractive or Butt Ugly?

I agree with some...90's, Judge Dredd look!

I've only shot the subcompact and can't hit squat with it. Dunno why. I'm fine with a 92fs.

The compact carry model looks good but pretty chunky for a carry piece, when many double stacks are down barely over 1"

I had a PX4 subcompact in 9mm for my first carry gun. I loved the look and feel, but only Beretta could call something that thick a subcompact. Maybe "short and stout" would be more appropriate. Regardless, it proved not to be the right choice for me, but I did like it.

Ugly even for a polymer gun! The 92 series, the Cheetah or even the little Tomcats are way more attractive IMO.

IMHO one peculiarity of the PX4 is that the rounded styling—whether or not one particularly likes it—has a strange way of making the handgun look larger than it actually is. I think this factor has probably hurt PX4 sales.

I shot two of the compact 9mm's. A husband and wife I met had a pair of them and they let me shoot booth of them.

I found the compacts to be a little more appealing to the eye for some reason. I don't care much for their styling personally, but they are not bad either.
To me, they have a sci-fi look that doesn't really mesh with what most peoples idea of modern or even vintage military and police type firearms "should" look like. When I think of these pistols it makes me think of 90's swat team wanna be, bad guy, movie types running around in all black with ski masks and red lasers.

I will say this though. Both of those pistols shot VERY well in my hands! They were comfortable, reliable, and had decent triggers. Id agree with one of the above posts, that they are underrated tack drivers!

My 9mm, converted to G and refinished in CCR's cera-plate. Also had an extended EFK done to match.

Kept one picture of my .45, which I sold a few years back. Originally picked it up to carry, but my Glock 30S is smaller and holds more ammo. Kept this picture, being it shows the profile of the Stealth controls compared to the last picture of my 9mm, which has standard controls. They do put out a safety/decocker that is along the lines of the 92 style... but never looked into it more than that.

^^I realize that one is CCR coated, but the Inox PX4's really get me. One of the few guns I really like in stainless/black two tone.

I don't think the Inox guns were out when I sent that in (I know it wasn't with my .45). I just don't like the black barrel/accents on the PX4 Inox. My 92 Brigadier Inox has black accents, which I'm not swapping in stainless parts.

Plus, I'll take nickel-boron over stainless any day of the week.

I don't think there is anything wrong with a "polymer league" in the beauty contest. In that league, I think the PX4 is a strong contender. If the contours make it look "space age", then great! That term was born in the 1950s and from that perspective, this is one of the future's coolest-looking projectile sidearms.

Seriously though, losing the bat-wing safety levers goes a long way towards improving both looks and carry profile. Check out this pic-heavy post on the North Carolina Gun Owners forum in which someone documents the upgrade:

If I'm gonna compare it with other guns in general, regardless of the material they're made of, I find the PX4... not bad. I would prefer a 92, or even a 90two series, but I wouldn't mind owning one.
Now, if I'm gonna compare it with the current offering on POLYMER pistols, I'd say the PX4 is drop-dead gorgeous!
One thing I respect of Italians, is they can make a brick look sexy.
I think the APX is Beretta's ugly duckling, but with the PX4, they did a pretty good job.
