Punisher grips on 1911 issues?

You don't think the prosecutor would come to court with pictures of your garage adorned with Punisher posters and show it to all in attendance so they can get a good laugh? errr...I mean make the same accusations?

Its obviously a concern so I wouldn't do it. Furthermore IMO a self defense gun should be all business no BS. Why get a nickel plated gun with gold plated controls and Punisher grips? Does any of this make the gun more reliable or accurate? No? Then I wouldn't do it. The only modifications I'd make to any SD weapon are ones that make it function better, period.

I realize you aren't nickel and gold plating but it all falls into the same category in my book. If its a range gun for show then knock your socks off.

WOW! If we live worried of what someone else might think of or what outcome we will have for doing what we want or like, what a sad place to live this would be.

Why put nice custom wheel on our vehicles, someone might think we are gang members with custom wheels on our "lowrider".
Why wear a red or blue shirt, that makes us a "blood" or a "crip".
All tattooed people are either bikers or gang bangers!

This is America and if we want to have a punisher logo on our roscoe, well so let it be.

Oh, Lets not go to an organized range with a range master and all, some one might think we are a militia that wants to overthrow the government.

If I break into a convenience store, do you think my punishment will be less severe if I do so with a "Luisville Slugger", than a pipe? Cause Baseball is the American passtime?

I personally think that adorning your weapon with the symbol of a fictitious vigilante is a bad idea. I'm a huge comic book fan, and Frank Castle is a character I keep up with. I also enjoy long distance bicycling, weight lifting, and rail fanning. But, none of these interests is likely to be used against me in a court of law. I can't say likewise here. Having those grips is almost tantamount to having a large portrait of John Wayne Gacy on your wall...or at least, that's how a prosecuting attorney will make it seem to the jury. My opinion: Ditch the skull symbol grips in favor of plain ol' wood or rubber.

Spats McGee: you're right, but there's a fourth: you're in a county where the prosecutor's office is corrupt, anti-RKBA and *will* fabricate evidence to jail lawful gun owners.

I can absolutely prove to you that this is the case in Pima County AZ where I live (city of Tucson).
