Pride of your arsenal

Cheap shotgun, its the one I shoot the most. I use it for the widest variety of things.
*Hunting
*Recreational
*HD
*Competition

Even though the others are fun to shoot this is the one I use the most and have the most memories with.

My pride is a pair of revolvers,,,

A S&W Model 15 Combat Masterpiece in .38 Special,,,
A S&W Model 18 Combat Masterpiece in .22 LR.

Mainly because when the good folk at S&W designed the Mod 15,,,
They came into the future to secretly measure my hand,,,
And made the gun to fit my paw perfectly.

And the Model 18 in .22 LR,,,
Is it's cheap to shoot identical twin.

Seriously though, the Model 15 was the pistol I carried in the Air Force,,,
It was the first and only one I ever fired enough to get good with,,,
Not that I was an Annie Oakley but I was very competent.

When I saw a near new in box specimen for only $500.00 out the door price,,,
I almost broke my wrist getting my credit card out of my wallet,,,
I also asked Dave to start looking for a Model 18 to go with it.

About 6 weeks later he found one for me,,,
And gave me a great deal on it too.

So my pride is a pair or S&W wheel guns,,,
I couldn't be happier with anything else.

I don't have any thing really stellar, but I'm very proud of, and enjoy shooting, both Springfield TRP 1911 and my Ruger No. 1 in 45-70 Government.

I've got lots of others, but those two are my favorites.

Gun: Sig P239 SAS Gen 1 in .40 caliber.
Reasons: It carries nice, it shoots great and it looks fantastic!

Its been a great gun / guaranteed 1" group at 25 yard accuracy ...and this one is about 4 yrs old now ...and I probably have 10,000 rds thru it already.

I had Dave Erickson at Condition One do a complete build on this one. I got to pick out every single part that went into it. It looks bone stock so I call it my "Sleeper" but it has no MIM parts, was machined to fit me perfectly and is finished in Ionbond DLC. It's my favorite because it works perfectly every time and the controls are set up to fit my hands.

Since the word arsenal is used, I am construing it to include all weapons. For that matter, I am divided between Galil and Aks74u (kirinkov). Both are tough SOBs and dead on realiable. I would not hessitate to pick either. In fact, every time I go out of town Kirinkov goes with me.

Remington 870

because its by far the most fun to shoot. Specifically, its a Remington 870 tactical, 18.5 inch barrel, Knoxx Adjustable Recoil Reducing Stock w/ attached cheekpiece and side saddle, and an XS Big Dot tritium front sight.
My MSAR STG-556 is a close second.

Arsenal?

When I think Arsenal I think a lot of guns but not all of them having to be the same. I could consider my colection an arsenal but for others wouldn't agree. If I had to pick one out I'd have to break it down into handgun and rifle: Handgun S&W 686 due to it was my first hand ejector that got me started with hand ejectors. Rifle: SKS it was my first high powered rifle and reminds me of when my friend and I would go out shooting for fun.

For me, it would probably be my 50th Aniversary Edition Sig P210

I can't bring myself to fire it since I'm sure thst would affect its value. If I still own it, guns are still legal, and ammo still exists, I'll shoot it on my 50th birthday (15 years from today).

As for a gun I shoot now, I would have to say my Les Baer Thunder Ranch Special. It is one of my best shooting guns and almost everyone picks that as their favorite when I take them shooting.
