post your .45 auto pics

cratz2,

My jaw literally fell to the floor when I saw those photos.

Good Lord. Nice collection.
I especially liked what you did with that M1991A1. I think I'll stick a wide spur on my Colt M1911A1 also.

Thanks for sharing.:D

awesome mr Cratz.

I have a question though; on the springfields, two of them, the cocking serrations are very small and tightly spaced as opposed to being big and widely spaced.
Did you have that done, or is that a feature on new springfileds(such as the rounder frame)?

thanks,
k.s.

KShaft, both of my Stainless Loadeds came like that and all that I can remember seeing recently have had those serrations. My blued loaded is from late last year and has the 'grove-land-grove' type serrations. We were just talking about this over on the www.1911forum.com

shooter45, I love the Gold Cup it's very accurate, 100% reliable and a pleasure to shoot, esp with light 200-210 Gr LSWC rounds. But I've been shooting the two stainless Loadeds lately and the 1991A1 and the Gold Cup it's just so nice, I hate to think about it getting banged up. Plus there's no sentimental value and I want another shotgun so I'm trading it for a Mossberg 590A1 a chunk of cash to go towards a beautiful mint Winchester Boy Scout rifle. I'll get a older National Match in the next couple of years so I'm not crying too much.

Not my favorite but the only one I have a picture of

Excellent. I think that looks much better then the straight craters they used to have in there!

that blued new rollmark weapon looks great.

does your gold cup have a wider profile than the 1991s? i had a ss gc and while it shot good, i didnt how wide the slide was. seemed too bulky. maybe blued is different? didnt like the beavertail either. kept biting my hand. shot very well though.

thanks for the reply!
k.s.

I think the Gold Cup is of standard width. The trigger is wider, but the slide and frame are normal.

I rather like the beavertail. Funcional without having to modify the frame. Actually, in that respect, I like the comander hammer/grip safety combo on my 'Mut'. Never bites, a looks nice and traditional.

Oh, I guess you meant only M1911A1 clones, but as the thread said ".45", here's a SIG P220 with nickle slide and Hogue grips, above a S&W CS9

This weight-compensated 70 series Govt 45ACP was built by Bruce Gray around '82 or '84 as I remember. I asked him to build a long gun for IPSC. Tungsten 2-piece guide rod, Bomar, Commander hammer, Swenson ambi, (Wilson?)beavertail, trigger hook, checkered front strap and MS(30lines/inch, sharp enough to use as a wood rasp) Jack Breskovich grips. Trigger job (2.5lb), ramp and feed job, lowered ejection port. I gave him complete free rein regarding creativity and function, and this was what he delivered. The trigger hook was a problem to find a holster for, but that was solved with a couple different styles. I used a Bianchi AutoDraw 3000 (breakfront, circa '82-'85), and still use it today. Alternatively, I used a Safariland inside-the-pants type holster. Both were altered to allow for the hook, and worked well. Muzzle jump w/the hook was exceptionally controllable. One sweet shooter, 1"@25yd. I estimate the weight to be 48-52 ounces, empty.

...hee hee, HKUSP45f, box-stock other than the ambi-safety/decocker. Smoothest factory trigger, surprisingly!
