I am speechless about the last couple of posts. They are all so purrreettty. The Colt has never been fired. POGO2 you must have some will power. The Rock Rivers, and the Springfield are sweet. They put one of those in my hand at the local gun shop........spoiled I tell yah, and the Kimber speaks for itself. The Para-Ordinaces....how well is the DAO. I have never tried shooting a 1911 in DA. Wooohooooo I am happy happy happy lots of eye candy. :)

Rock Island Armory 45

Just picked this up a couple weeks ago. It's the MCRGO Commemorative. Feeds everything I've fed it so far.

Picture posting should be so dependable. I think it is a photo.net incompatability. So here's a link:

Blued Springfield Loaded

This one has an interesting feature - a Cylinder & Slide (STS ???) 'decocker' that allows the gun to be carried cocked and locked but with the hammer down. This was recently changed from the picture to black S&A Micarta grips and magwell.

Customized Colt 1991A1

This is my baby. My first 1911 since modified by Ned Christiansen to be an early WWII style gun. The checkered slide stop, wide spur checkered hammer, short checkered trigger and checkered arched MSH. Throw in a very crisp trigger job and a bit of reliability work along with custom smooth ebony grips and you have the best of both worlds.

Colt/AO Mut

This is my 'mut' as I call it. Blued Auto Ordnance frame, blued Colt slide, videcki long solid trigger, Commander hammer and grip safety, old school colt ambi safety, jewelled Colt barrel, MMC sights, Brown and Nowlin internals and springs, Wilson FLGR fitted bushing and magwell and Hogue ebony grips. As it is in this picture I have an almost unbelievable $140 in this gun. Of course, it was really a mess when I bought it and it required work by myself and others but for $140, I can't complain one bit.

Springfield Stainless Loaded Target

Quickly becoming my new favorite 1911, this one is fit unbelievably well. The slide to barrel and the slide to frame fit are unequalled in my experience at anything near this price of $670. And the serial number is only 40 off from my 9mm Stainless Springfield.
