Post where you keep/store your firearms! *Pics only*

Those look the same as mine and I did not know there was a pre drilled hole....please tell me where it's located. I am using the drying agent because I didn't want to drill a hole. Thanks
On the left hand side (as you look at the safe) all the way to the back and about two inches up from the bottom. :)
Folks should search for Gixerman or Tamara
Like I said...OLD TIMERS. :D

I gotta do it in two parts as I don't have an overall picture.

It's almost embarrassing to post my little safe up here compared to others (PBP )....looks like I gotta start eating less and saving up.

what ones that are scattered around my house are in gun cases, i cant put a gun safe in. its my roomies house and he dont want no holes drilled.

you'd be surprised how many you CAN'T see. there are 23 guns total in my 8 gun cabinet, 14 of which are long guns almost double the listed capacity!

I think I can cram a couple more in there:D though it might be a good idea to get another cabinet.

Sorry folks I'm not about to post photos about this one.
I will share however.

-One main safe hidden behind a secret door.
-Ammo storage RSC hidden behind a secret door.
-One small pistol safe bolted to the bedframe.
-One small pistol safe bolted in a hidden place in my workshop.

In short, if there were a problem I have 3 different directions I could move to get to my tools.

Once we get rolling on renovations there will probably also be a hidden compartment in the bathroom as well (thanks for the reminder PBP!)

I find it really odd that a couple guys have can of smokeless powder AND ALSO that much factory ammo.

I've got a few boxes of carry/defense ammo, and I think I have three boxes of factory FMJ 9mm ammo. All the rest of my ammo is made in the man cave.

Not that there's anything wrong with all that factory ammo, but I just don't buy the stuff for the most part... and I really haven't for a long, LONG time.

Penguin,

Where did you get the handgun safe? I've looked all over and can only find shotgun / rifle safes usually with only one shelf above. I've never found a safe with shelves just for handgun. Can you let me know where I could get one like that... :)

It is actually one of the ones set up as a rifle safe on one side and a couple of small shelves on the other side. I just pulled out the center divider and made my own shelves by cutting down wooden shelves and then covering them in automotive fabric.

This is how they came originally.-You can see the startings of my collection from a few years ago

This is after I did some minor switching around.-A few more guns now a year later :)

Safes are great for guys that have a gazillion guns like playboy, but for someone like me, I have one pistol and one rifle, the rifle case is more than enough to keep them secured, though the pistol is rarely locked away. My wife believes security comes from the pistol being unlocked and accessible. I am very happy with her and am glad that she came around when it come to me owning firearms.

By the way, new guys like me really do appreciate the feedback that we receive from the older gentlemen and senior members.

Gotta be careful with storing firearms in cases. The common egg-holder shaped foam (I'm sure there's a better name for it, but the typical foam you find in a pistol case) attracts moisture, then pretty much locks the moisture in with your firearm. Open air is better.

Not a big deal if you have them out of the case on a regular basis. But anything more than a week or two? I'd keep an eye out.

Sevens, you have to buy the factory ammo for the little foam and plastic trays so you can fill them back up with reloads. ;)

I was going to post, but my guns were lost on a boating incident. :p
