Being the proud owner of a virgin new XD(m) 9mm and wanting to be safe, I got a decent starter safe earlier today o give my girlfriend a sense of security and myself peace of mi nd knowing that when not in use, my firearm is stored in quiet, out of sight place. I"ll drill the safe to the floor in the near futre for extra measure.

So where do your firearms go to rest?
EDIT: You don't have to "give away" your secret locations, just show us where your toys get stored/protected.

Depends on which room. Some are against the wall. One might be on top of the fridge. Others are sitting on a shelf dedicated for the purpose. Always one within reach unless they were lost in the Aleutian Trench.

One rule is that uptight girlfriends don't dictate or make gun decisions at Ft. Stevelyn unless they bring their own.

Damn Playboy! you really are scared of those zombies aren't you . LOL. Seriously though, awesome collection. the most impressive I've ever seen :D

Thanks for all the compliments, but just wait until one of the old timers posts. Then you will see how my paltry 53 firearms collection truly is when compared to some of the big collections. Some guys on here have more 1911's than I do gun, period.

Mine just looks good because it is tidy and organized. :)

Very, Very nice collection. Question(s): How do you control the condensation in the gun safe and especially the one under the lavatory. I can't show my wife these pic's, everthing is too orderly.

I have goldenrods in the big safes along with desiccant packs. In the bath safe, the temperature in the room is warm and dry since there is no bath or shower in there so I just use a desiccant.

PB doesn't have a complete collection....I got a double barrel sling shot in mine....I make sure it's in the safe with one stone in the chamber.

And PB...are those Sentry fire safes and if so, how did you get the golden rod inside?
They are Sentry Gunsafes. They have a pre-drilled hole in the side to feed the cord through. You do have to cut the plug off of your goldenrod and attach a new one if yours has a plug on the cord already.

Very nice collection PBP.

You are absolutely correct with the above statement. Folks should search for Gixerman or Tamara as both have very nice collections and Tamara, has or at least had a very very nice collection of Smiths and 1911s.

Those look the same as mine and I did not know there was a pre drilled hole....please tell me where it's located. I am using the drying agent because I didn't want to drill a hole. Thanks
