post a picture of your favorite revolver

Jim,

Care to specify the dash number?
It's a 27-3 I bought after I got my degree. Couldn't afford anything while in school except a RG .38 spl, the gun that's pictured in the definition of "Saturday night special." :)

I prefer this over my '59 Python, Korth Combat and Registered Magnum.

It might be one of my Pythons or Model 57s tomorrow, but it's my MR73 today. (Seller's photos below since I still haven't taken my own.)

At this point I'm just assuming you don't even own a camera. (Presumably from blowing all your money on fine firearms.)

I like them all... Single Actions that is ...

But the absolute keeper/favorite for me is the blued .45 Colt 5 1/2" Flattop BH. With it, my search for the perfect pack'n pistol is over for this man.... This one also came with that other mostly unused cylinder for .45 ACP....

" WSP, how did you crown the barrel yourself? "

Very simple. I have a couple of round nose stones, the type that can be chucked into a drill. I carefully installed brass spuds in the noses of the stones, to accept appropriately sized lead DEWC bullets, drilled through and sized to fit inside the barrel and ride against the lands. These serve as "pilots", to cause the stones to run true and thus cause the crown to be cut concentric with the bore.

After cutting (grinding ?) the crown, I polish it using a round nose brass machine screw, chucked into a drill and coated with a fine abrasive, such as Flitz.

I've crowned 5 or 6 barrels this way to date....and all shoot like factory crowned ones. I can do a crown and polish job on a barrel in less than 30 minutes this way.
