The picture is a couple years old, I like the gun so much that I sent it back to S&W for a refinish (needed to go back anyway because it broke the trigger stud). Maybe it's because it was my first revolver and I've shot it so much, but picking this gun up feels like shaking hands with an old friend.
Though I do have to admit, my 5" M27-2 is a very close runner-up
This picture also is somewhat dated as this gun now wears a set of Culina Coke Bottle Targets in Black Walnut.
As much as I love my SA 45's and a sweet little 3inch barrel S&W model 36 that's went many miles with me, I'll still have to stay with the S&W model 27 as my favorite revolver in my revolver cadre.
Just picked up this New Vaquero .357 at the FFL yesterday (ordered from Bud's). Haven't shot it yet, but it might be my favorite if I don't drop it on my foot:
Like most of us, I have several revolvers in the safe. Some handed down from my dad and others I bought over the years. If I had to pick one, it would have to be this S&W 586. I bought it several years back and it's still new in the box. It came from the factory with a matt black finish.
Taurus 605 I've had for a few years now. S&W 642 that I picked up recently. Uncle Mike's combat grip on both. Fairly accurate to a reasonable distance, and I find them fun to shoot.
My favorite comes and goes also from time to time but my S&W Model 14-8 seems to be the one that has held the favorite spot the most. It just balances, points, and shoots so accurate.
