I voted "other",because Sightron isn't listed.
Sightron SIII scopes are probably the best scope for the money. The glass is as good,if not better than my Swarovski PH.
I rate mine as Swarovski,Sightron x2,IOR,Leupold x2,Redfield,Pentax x2,Mueller x2,Bushnell,BSA x2.

The Sawro wins out because it is a high quality scope, but the Sightron SIII and IOR Valdada rate right with it,and cost less with more features and range capabilities.
Leupold makes a nice scope, but they are Wwaaayyyy over priced for what you get.
The Redfield and Pentax are very clear, and track good.Good all around scopes.
Mueller makes a great product at a good price, but the glass is a little less than the others at high magnification.
The Bushy and BSA's reside on rimfires, and serve their purpose. That's about it.

I voted for Vortex...just recently got two crossfires from SWFA for my 17hmr and 204 ruger (both Savage). They so far are very decent...I do like my 2 elite 3200 (5x15) one tactical and the other hunting rectical... Love my Nikons and my cheap Burris full field II... Now for older glass I do have a couple of the Phillipine made Simmons whitetail classics in 6.5-24x50 that have weathered the years well.

Zeiss Conquest
IMHO by far the best value for money scope on the market. A high end optics in a mid price range.

Out of my collection I have two Redfield revolution Illuminator scopes, one 3x9 and a 4x12 , I love the fact that they are made in the USA and for the money they are first rate ,they have a great waranty ( Lifetime) and are made and backed by Leupold. They got my vote!

I voted Burris

They're American made and very good quality, from what I've read.

I've got a Leupold and it is about the same or a bit lower image quality as my Weaver, which cost $70 less. I bought the 'pold to support the USA.

Favorite Scopes

Can't afford many of them but my first choice in scopes is IOR/Valdada.

With their "MP-8" reticle (modified Mil Dot) for medium and long ranges and their "CQB" reticle for close/short and medium ranges.

For a super quick COMBINED range finding and useful BDC scope like the Shepherd scopes.

T.

Have to go with Vortex for the warranty and the quality. I compared the vortex viper side by side with a ziess conquest for close to the same money ($10) I left with the vortex. Clarity is equal and brightness was as well. Made in America with the best warranty around.

I voted Mueller. I have two, a 4.5-14 APV on my 10/22 and a 3-10x44 TAC II on my RRA ATH. The APV is a great scope for the $115 I paid for it. It's glass is VERY bright and clear edge to edge. My TAC II is in a different league though. 95% light transmission Japanese glass and manufacture (its built at the same factory as the Sightron Big Sky line).

I also own a new 2-7 Redfield. It's mounted on my 20" AR. It is very well built and crystal clear...something you don't find on many $150 scopes. Rounding out my scope's are three Nitrex by Weaver's. When they had their $50 and $100 rebates they were steals since you were getting a re-badged Weaver Grand Slam's (Nitrex TR-1) and Super Slam's (Nitrex TR-2) for less than $200 after rebate.

I'm saving for a Nightforce FFP, mil/mil, zero stop for my Grendel. I have several Mueller scopes on both rimfire and centerfire rifles. The TAC II is amazing for it's price.

Funny how even when you specifically exclude them, the Leupold carpetbombers come out anyway.
I voted Burris based on a sxs comparison of Leupold and the Burris was easily the better glass, better construction and better pricing, all in an American company.
My two Burris's live on lightweight rifles, one on a Tikka T3 Lite, 6.5lb 300WSM....The recoil on this rifle is pretty intense....the Burris never needs adjusting, nor that awesome trip back to Oregon for replacement everyone brags about.
My buddy has an identical Tikka with a Zeiss Conquest and we did sxs comparisons at dusk, the Zeiss did not have an advantage re clarity or brightness.
I am very happy with Burris.
Another posted Swift....I have two Swift Premiers and they are excellent.

Out of what i use it goes like this:

U.S. Optics
Zeiss
Leupold

I chose other but if i had to choose it would Zeiss

I voted for Burris I have a 1 1/2 -6 with illuminated reticle that works very well.My other rifles have Leupold vxII's and vxIII's and have always done a great job in the field hunting.

You guys are still choosing Leupold. Don't be so serious, this is for fun... We all know you like Leupolds best.... :D

And "other" doesn't include Leupold or Nikon... ;)

My vote went to other, as Sightron was not listed. Have a couple now and am really impressed. Impressed enough to put one on my main hunting rig, a Rem 700 Alaskan Ti in 280.

After 30+ years of hunting and LOTS of rifles carried, this is the one I'll ask to be buried with. :D:D:D
