Painting a gun?

All of my hunting rifles have gunchaps on them. Just can't justify painting one of my rifles thats in good shape.

Now I would like to find an older Winchester model 70 or Ruger bolt action with a beat up stock. For me that would be a perfect platform to camoflage.

AK thanks for the pics, especially the night vision ones. That really does shed some light on it (no pun intended). It's hard to argue with proof like that. I think you may have changed my mind on the hunting rifle.

Wow! I had to look at the photo again after you mentioned the above statement!
Makes a bit of a difference, doesnt it? They always look best laying on the cammies though. :)

Multicam is some pretty impressive stuff to, if you havent tried it. It really is almost chameleon in nature, and it works well in places you wouldnt think it could.

Ive always found it makes a pretty good difference, especially when bird hunting. Patterns arent as critical as reasonable colors and breaking the outline, and if it doesnt stand out, movement isnt as noticeable.

That funny looking black, or brown and black stick jumping up off the ground and swinging around on the other hand... :)
