Pager Pal vs. Smart Carry

My suggestions are:

Untuck your T-Shirt. It looks better anyway. (This is not true of all shirts but definitely T-shirts)

Load your DAO revolver all the way. If you accidently pull the 8-10lb trigger then maybe you need to learn to keep your finger off it. (Unless you pack an old SAA the empty chamber is just one less chance you have of saving your life.)

Wear a belt that is wide enough for the holster. IWB/OWB is your choice.

If you require deep concealment try a bellyband or ankle holster.

When I got my CHL, I bought a pager pal to fit my Firestar 45, After a month I developed a limp, and bought a Kel-tec P-11 for my carry piece.Have since switched to NAA 22mags, one with pocket holster, boot grips and 1 5/8" barrel. The new one is an Earl, 4" barrel and a skosh over 8 oz.One in each front pocket, makes little difference as I am ambidextrous...

+1 on untucking the T-shirt.

Also, you can go online to Duluth trading company and buy their long-tail T-shirts that are 3" longer than normal (supposed to cure plumbers crack when tucked in, but great for concealed carry). With a longtail T-shirt untucked and jeans, you can go for a IWB in the normal position and you can carry just about anything comfortably all day, not to mention you can actually get it in action fairly quickly with practice. Or you can carry effortlessly in a rear pocket carry covered by your longtail T-shirt. I carry all the time in an IWB or a rear pocket holster with minimal alterations to my dressing, other than longer shirts and looser pants.

Small change to your rules with lots of payback for CCW.

Not trying to flame, you can do whatever you want, however for me, dressing for CCW allows me a greater variety of weapon choice as opposed to limiting my weapon choice in order to preserve my clothing choice. For all the thought you have put into protecting your family regarding # of shots in a revolver, angle of holster, etc., limiting your CCW options by not modifying your dressage a bit, seems silly to me.

CCW is a mindset and a lifestyle. Give it some more thought and do whatever you please. It is a free country.

We are not flaming, but trying to help. After 50+ years of living with firearms, sometimes we do have a point - even if my own teen children don't always think so! :) So if you don't want to listen just do what they do, tune me out! Good luck.

Why are you posting to an almost four and a half year old thread?

Oh, because a new member bumped it yesterday (Post #40).

Gee, I wish I could say that's the first time that has happened this week.
