Her first time shooting it today... She was thinking that it would recoil more than Her Ruger Redhawk 44Mag,,,Everytime that she gets a new gun and shoots for her first time the posture gets a little lax... Will work on it tho... She loves her new toy.

Cool! My 12 year old daughter loves her little Buckmark Camper. She's ready to graduate to something with a little more juice however. I'm thinking of setting her up with my Security Six with .38's.

It's nice having a daughter interested in shooting.

Please outfit her with shooting glasses.
Powder and bullet shavings come out a revolver cylinder gap hot and hard. I have been stung more than once.

Ditto on the kudos and ditto on getting her some eye protection. I am hopeful that was just a staged pic and she usually wears both eyes and ears while actually shooting or around others who are shooting.:)

All the best,
Glenn B

Little Kid. Big Gun. Proud Parent. Very Cool.

Although, I may have to call social services if you keep buying her Taurus guns. :D

Kids love new toys.

Kids? Hey, I'd love to have that as my new toy!

Keep reminding her to step into it and lean into it. To get the weight onto the front foot. I was wondering how she could see with her face all scrunched up, then noticed she's lefty! Shooting glasses for sure.

Not to highjack the thread but what do YOU like the Raging Bull? Own one in another caliber? Say .44Mag?

The Raging Bull shoots excellent....I wanted her to have the weight of that gun to help her with the recoil...It seems that she shoots very well with larger calibers as long as the barrel is longer and the gun has some weight to it...she has already taken over my Ruger Redhawk....She lets me shoot it once in awhile.;)

That picture is awesome. I have a little bitty daughter who I hope to get into shooting once she's old enough. Congratulations on having an awesome daughter (who obviously has an awesome dad!)

Great daughter you have there. I have 3 young daughters and a stainless Ruger 10/22 T model with a Weaver Classic 3 X 9 AO scope. I'm waiting patiently for one of them to display interest... if not I'll continue to shoot the dang thing myself :)

This photo proves that recoil really is relative. My coworkers daughte wanted and received a S&W Model-29 for her sweet sixteen. For her high school graduation present, she wanted and received a .300 Weatherby mag. She's in college now and weighs about 120 lbs. The young lady loves large caliber firearms.

You go girl!! haha Wow I'm impressed. Can handle that thing pretty good? I've never shot a raging bull but I would be intimidated, thats a big gun. Oh my mistake I thought it was a 44mag but still impressive. Give her few more years and she'll be showing the guys at the range how it's done.

Very cool to see!! Please Please Please post this all over other threads with people thinking females need little pea shooters! I know a lot of female shooters who would say otherwise.

As for the child services comment about buying her more Taurus.... CLASSIC!:D

As much as I am not a big fan of Taurus.... It is still nice to see a young female enjoying the sport, and know there will be a future to our beloved hobby/sport.

I dont know about other girls...but this one doesnt need a small gun...She literally stole my Ruger Redhawk...usually she doesnt even let me shoot it anymore,,,Now it appears as tho she has taken to this one also.. We had a couple of pics of her targets with the redhawk...I cant find them now...She is more accurate with her Redhawk than I am with my 629.

Its always great to see youngsters interested in shooting. You should post that pic at her school. Maybe dad won't have to threaten too many boys with that photo circulating around.

I have 3 boys and 3 girls. As they've gotten older the girls love to shoot as much if not more than the boys. One of my grand-daughters really loves it. I was supprised that my girls grew to like the .45 1911's so much over the plastic guns. Good for you and your daughter.

Ah the memories. My daughter is 22 now and her tastes are a bit more expensive than at age 12.

Actually I was very worried for her, Last Saturday night she was on I 80 and came over a hill into a wreck. Tore her roof off, broke her back and smashed her eye socket and had a puncture in the left eye from glass. A truck had hit a car and she had no time to miss the wreck. Love them and hug them, teach them and stuff like this will still happen.

Going car shopping this weekend so when she gets home she can get back to school, she is able to walk etc. after a couple surgeries this week.

She used to throw a tantrum if not allowed to wear a dress :) to the range...
