Only one...

If you were going to own only one handgun caliber what would it be. You could have multiple guns in that caliber but they all have to be the same caliber.

At this point, after having spent a lot of time with most of the major calibers, 9mm gets the nod.

Now, a "you only get one gun/one caliber" question "might" bring another answer.

But since it is just a handgun...... it'll do. :)

I guess it would depend where I lived.

In my current situation I'd opt for the .45 acp. As I live in the city.

If I lived out in the woods. I'd opt for the .44 Magnum.

As I understand it, you could have multiple handguns but all in one calibre?
In that case most definitely 9x19mm. Very common, lots of different handguns in this caliber, cheap to practice, controllable, ...

Come on, everyone know you can't live without a .22, .357, .45 without having deep emotional problems. Plus a .44 heips with psychological goofiness.

This is a no brainer

357, I've shot everything from rattlers to moose and buffalo with the 357. Carried it for 20 years in LE.

I can't think of anything that I would ever need to shoot that the 357 wont handle.

Sure there are better rounds for this and that, but you said just one.

Hands down, the 357 with my LSWC's
