So one of my goals, its to have a handgun for each of the major calibers. I enjoy reloading, and I just like the idea. So if you COULD (you may not want to now, but if money was no object and you could) get a gun for every caliber, what would you get for each caliber?
This is what my list looks like so far:
.22 LR - Ruger Mark III
.25 Auto - Beretta Tomcat
.32 Auto - Walther PPK
.380 - Bersa Thunder Plus (the double stack just fits better)
9mm - Springfield XD
.40 - Beretta 96 (my first handgun)
.45 ACP - Springfield 1911 Doublestack (notice a pattern here )
.38 Special - Ruger LCR
.357 Magnum - Smith and Wesson Model 28 N Frame Highway Patrolman
.44 Magnum - Ruger Redhawk
.45 Long Colt - Ruger Blackhawk
So what would your list look like? I tried to stick with the major calibers, and avoid calibers with limited gun choice. If you want a .500 S&W, for instance, there are not many choices. My apologies to the 9X18, .357 Sig, .41 action express, .45 GAP, .41 magnum, and many others.
