Obvious Printing! Does anyone notice or really care?

I've been trying to spot people who might be carrying and either hardly anybody around does it or it's fiendishly harder to notice than most folks seem to worry about.

Like others have mentioned, people clip so much crap to their belt (Cellphones/Blackberries are pretty ubiquitious nowadays) that a bulge or a leather holster wouldn't draw a second glance. Heck, I keep a leatherman on my belt at work - tucked in shirt, nothing that could even resemble an effort at concealment. One of my co-workers finally noticed I had it after 3 years. "You can carry one of those here?"

Even if someone does notice, it's still concealed. They have no clue what it could be. I could care less if somebody notices my CCW print, buldge or what ever you want to call it.

Is this better, and probably more indicative of what I wear?
Now that's more what I look like. I can see something on your left side, same as I can in a reflection of my own right side. But I couldn't swear that it's a gun, and that's probably way more than the average person will notice. In Michigan, that would be fine.

Yeah...that's much better. I think in the first shot though you were standing at a bad angle. For me it's not so much a legal issue; I just don't want to freak anybody out. As many have pointed out, though, I never notice anyone CCWing and I know there are plenty of us out there!

But seriously though...Now I gotta get a tuckable for my AR. :D

If anybody sees the printing & asks, just tell them it's a colostomy bag.

Then ask them if they'd like to help you empty & clean it out it. :D

ECHOONE I carry cross drawer in Fl and don't print like that they'd arrest you here for that,Thats totally obvious!!!!! AND definetly what they would call PRINTING, NOT IN FL. All he has to do is to make a attemt to conceal, witch he is /consealed means on ones person not in plain sight but I think Stevie Wonder could guess it's a gun ;)

I have been trying to spot others and having very little success at it. Years ago an older guy I worked for carried a 380 IWB at work long before CCW was legal. A cop came by the bike shop one day and casually asked him what he was carrying. He was very surprised as it was very well concealed. The cop told him it was obvious, "why else would a man your age wear his shirt untucked?"
Using this lesson I have noticed a LOT of guys with shirts out at Gander, etc.
hmm.

Well.... I'd have noticed the first. The second, not so much. Here I am today wearing a pretty thin t-shirt and carrying a full-size government model with a reload...

Now admittedly I'm 6'2" and just under 300 lbs, so I can hide a lot of gun. But, you get the idea.

As long as you keep wearing that watch, no one will notice your gun:D In Iowa, printing like that will get your permit yanked faster than you could draw your weapon

My local LEOs tell me....as long as no part of the gun is visible...its not a problem to them. But then...that's sweet home Alabama.

Lol.

Sparks, the reason I wouldn't notice is cause I'd be staring at that shirt too long ;) Differant I'll admit. But it does do a good job concealing.

Yeah...I was going to keep it to myself, but with that shirt you could wear fuzzy pink bunny rabbit house slippers and no one would notice those either :)

Hey, Affliction makes great T-shirts. :) All the heavilly tattooed, ginormous Real Estate professionals I know wear them.

What's funny is I actually wore that to a radio station interview not long after I took the pictures. I show up and the guy that's doing the interview goes "YOU'RE the guy I'm interviewing?" heh :D

I tried one IWB figured out quick that wasn't for me. So I went out and found a fobus (got a blade tech on order) and it doesn't bother me one bit for it to print, no one cares or seems to notice. At wally world or wherever after kneeling down I just pull my shirt back over the end...big woop what are people going to say? Nothing...
I open carry around our home county and anytime I stop at a petrol station. (I've found that's the #1 place people will approach you for whatever reason) Now if only I could carry at the hospital life would be good.

Magyar--

I've had my Texas CHL for four years now. I try to identify people carrying, and I don't have much luck. However, your first pic is way too obvious. Second pic, much better.

The difference, (beside the snug-ness of he shirt) is the color. Light colors print far more than dark. Patterns (see the dude with the black t-shirt with the whatever-it-was:rolleyes:) break it up even better.

There is a reason Wal-Mart sells tons of $9.99 Hawaiian print shirts.

Got a few myself :)
