NJ compliant 15 round range 9mm pistols

Mags can be cleaned without taking them apart. Just not as easily and not as well. Just take a cleaning rag and push it down through the top, compressing the follower. It works well enough to keep the mags functioning, they just won't be spice and span.

You can put them in an ultrasonic cleaner as well, and get them very clean... and if the mag has witness holes, a squirt of aerosol rem oil, then a blast of compressed air will protect the inside from rust.

nodule, go to your local gun shop and try a few on for size. Then buy the one that fits your hand best and speaks to you. Despite the rhetoric, it's a big kid's toy. Us big kids need our toys too.
"...police surplus..." Like most cop guns. Carried much, short little and maintained not at all. Rusty mag springs aren't as bad as the rusted shut revolver a TO copper was carrying, long ago. Came into the shop looking to change grips. Went to unload to put 'em on and couldn't open the cylinder. Still better than the guy who decided he'd have a new set after trying his partner's new grips and didn't have his piece in the holster. Partner was not amused.

Not lookin to ever use my gun in a SD situation... But sure am glad I can have the opportunity to protect myself and my family, should I ever have a need to. I could never live in the Communist State of NJ.

Given your chosen criteria, I'd look at the Sig P320 and the H&K VP9. If you want to spend a little less, I'd certainly look at the Ruger SR9c.

I personally would also look at hammer fired pistols, but they don't fall into your criteria.

I'll make one more comment on this thread & then I'll lay off. The woman was a new gun owner and a new holder of a PA Livense to Carry. The local cops along the Jersey shore routes will target PA drivers on their way to the beach so she got pulled over for an alleged moving violation and, thinking this was the right thing to do, she told the cop that dhe was carrying a loaded .380 Bersa in her handbag. There is no reciprocity between PA & NJ so they made an example of her & threw the book at her. Had she kept her mouth shut she would have probably gotten off with whatever the moving violation was.

Sorry, but the right thing to do was not to carry a loaded firearm in New Jersey.

One of the main things taught in CCW classes, is to know the laws of the states you will be traveling. If you are unsure, you error on the side of caution. Look it up. Google is your best friend.

As far as local cops, I lived in Philly and Bucks County for over 50 years, traveling down to the Jersey beaches quite often, and never once did I feel targeted because I had Pennsylvania plates.
