Recognizing the danger that if you are somewhere where TSHTF and the Bad Guy(s) decide to take you out first, what is the downside to --

Wearing a TFL/NRA/GOA/etc shirt, wear a pager or other device to create that suspicious bulge, and go out in public, especially in FUD's area?

I would think it would drive the "save-the-world" rookie cops nuts as you indignantly show him the pager time after time. Maybe even set up a harassment situation.

Perhaps if all of us wore "provocative" clothing with bulges, it would desensitize the public and perhaps the police to the point that FUD's type of situation would not occur.

The flip side would be to wear a MMM shirt while armed to the teeth.

Next time out I'm wearing a belt-clip tape measure - going to Home Depot you know.

I've just read the whole thread and now I'm going to give some view points. Every State has different laws concerning what you have to tell the LEO's and dont. In KS you have to give basic info if asked. Name,DOB,ETC. You don't have to incriminate yourself.IE are you carrying a gun? A. Officer you have no right to ask me that question and if you would wish to talk to me further please tell me why and your probable cause. End of discussion.

Now Fud can say yes officer and I have a CCW for the weapon and if you would like to go outside to look my CCW over we can. End of discussion. It does sound to me like the off. was a rookie and was touting the John Wayne syndrome. Hopefully that will change.

Ward I cannot fathom why you would take what happened to you lying down but, I'm sure that you have your reasons and I'll accept that they were good ones.

I have busted part of a fence and the gate down chasing a BG one time. Guess what? I was named in my first law suit. She claimed that the fence and gate were worth 1200.00 but since her deceased father made it, for emotional distress she wanted 3500.00 also. It was a gate and three boards on a 6ft tall privacy fence.LOL. The kicker?? I was chasing her boyfriend that had just broke her nose and knocked two teeth out.

Lastly. Yes there are bad cops and stupid cops out there. However If I walk by someone and say hello I expect common courtesy back. As you all here know we are'nt all bad.

OK now for my 2nd rant! Ward I'm sorry that you live in what I laughingly call a DMZ where the police are expected to randomly search people as they wait in line at the Pharmacy. I on the other hand live in the REAL United States where I'm intitled to my PRIVACY!!! I'm a fairly quiet and private person and I would honestly be embarrassed if I were singled out and questioned by an officer even though I'd done nothing wrong. I can only imagine Fud being out with his wife and kids and having an over zealous cop make him look bad in front of his children by this line of crap!
