Next gun?

Well, I had not planned for any other handguns. I currently own a G23, G21 and S&W Model 10 and am completely satisfied with all of them, I have no desire to even look at any other handguns.
However, a friend of mine came upon a collection and is considering letting go of an FN FNP-45, it's only had 50 rounds through it and is practically brand new. I'm not sure for how much he'd let it go for, but I've seen them from $600 on up. I'm not even sure I really want it even if the price were right, thinking it'd only just sit in the safe.
So I'm conflicting with my self over what to do, should I pursue it at a good price or just let him sell it to someone else?
But other than that, it is the only other handgun I'm considering at the moment.

next gun

I really wan an EMP but it is cost prohibitive. So I will most likely go with a Springfield mill spec because I do not own a 45 yet.

I don't know if it will be my next, but I will own one of these sooner or later. Not sure of the caliber either, but I'm leaning toward a .475 Linebaugh.

Can't believe I'm saying this, but my next one will be a Charter Arms. Either a .44 Special, or .45 ACP. I love the Special but they're so dang expensive. The .45 would be easier and cheaper to keep fed.

I really want a P226 X-Five in .40 cal. Just to go a step up from one of my favorites, my P226 Equinox .40 cal. I may just buy an EFK compensated barrel for the Equinox. Never sure what I am going to do until I actually do it.

I have the majority of hanguns that I want to own. The only ones that spring to mind are a 1911 (which I'll wait until next year because I want something to commerate the 100yr anniversary) and maybe a second .357 stainless Vaquero. A distant third would be a large magnum S&W revolver.

Now for long guns. I most definitely NEED a Ruger Mini 14, a .357 lever action, an AK variant (which a Saiga12 may serve scratch the itch, at least for a temporary basis) and a coach gun.

If I owned all those I dare say that I would own just about evr gun Ive ever REALLY wanted, except for a F/A Thompson.

M&P compact...either 9mm or 40. i'm torn between the two calibers. my current EDC is a S&W 5904. it's heavy. i need/want something lighter

do i go with another 9mm (which i have never felt underpowered with) and stockpile ammo for one caliber?

or do i "change it up" a little bit, and go with the 40? of course, if i get the 40, i can swap out the barrel/mag, and have a couple of different pistols in one package.

decisions, decisions...

A S&W Model 18, K-22 Combat Masterpiece,,,

That evil pawn shop guy reeled me in again,,,

He knew I was looking for a Model 18 to go with my Model 15 he sold me four months ago,,,
He's evil because he waited until I bought that Model 12 Airweight from him,,,
Before he told me about the Model 18.

It's rougher than the other revolvers I've bought from him,,,
Rates between good and very good,,,
I bought it for $325.00

This is the sad part though,,,
Since he took it in two days before he sold it to me,,,
I can't actually pick up the gun and take it home until Saturday.
There is a ten day wait before he can sell any gun that he buys through the pawn shop.

So I call to verify the hours he will be open on Saturday morning,,,
He casually mentions he just got a Model 17, K-22 Target Masterpiece in,,,
"So Aarond," he says,,, "That would be a good counterpart for that Model 12, wouldn't it?"

The man is the Devil!

Forgot the "why"

Also have a 9mm Glock 17, but wanted something with a little more "Umph," especially after reading that the Ft Hood shooter took four 9mm rounds and didn't die. Made me wonder...

So, am going with a .40 S&W instead. I have small hands, and the G22 right out of the box fits nicely.

What ever pops into my head when the $ is in my pocket!
Right now thinking about a Taurus Judge Ultra Lite. Snake gun when hunting morels this spring and picking blackberrys this summer.
Kind of a "kit gun" on steroids!!

Cheapshooter,

A member once had a sig line reading, "Buy low; sell never."

Works for me. :D

Personally, perhaps a Beretta, or another CZ, unless I run across a Colt that just has to go home with me.
