New Concealed Carry Pistol, Walther CCP tested and reviewed, Junk or Gem?

Noticed a discussion on HKPro.com re cleaning/lubricating the P7 gas cylinder and piston. Several members proposed using dry Teflon as a final lubricant on the piston and in the cylinder. The Teflon protects the metal when you have metal-to-metal contact and inhibits carbon buildup. Has anyone used Teflon?

The HK manual says to lightly oil the piston rings and gas tube. My normal routine is to do a Militec-1 treatment and thereafter put a light lube on the piston rings. I've never shot anywhere close to 500 rounds before cleaning though so I can't say how well this works long term. Most people probably at least swab the parts fairly often and scrape less often. My P7s clean up very easily and quickly. Dry lube is a good product for any firearm as far as I'm concerned.

The biggest potential problem with this type of recoil system comes from using lead, especially soft lead, bullets. This practice can and has messed up P7s by an accumulation of lead in the gas port and tube. I assume the same prohibition exists in the CCP.
