Need ideas for a new 9mm

Sig P320 Full Size.

First off, get all three grip circumferences. As a range gun, that lets you customize it for various shooters. Then, get a spare grip for you that you can customize, or experiment with. If you screw it up, you can buy a replacement.

I can't fall in love woth polymer guns. Fantastic tools for sure and I carry one... but for a range & fun gun to fall in love with? Couldn't do it!

I have a number of 9mm pistols. Of them, my best one is my Tanfoglio Elite Match. It is single action only and it's a better gun in nearly every way than my next best 9mm, a Springfield Loaded Stainless.

For around $700 new, I don't think anything beats it at the price point.

I have also heard the horror stories of train-wreck customer service from EAA...

I've only contacted them once (to purchase magazines) and it was 100% hassle free and friendly. Fast, too.

I also hope I never need service. These first 4,500+ rounds have been awfully good so far.

Not expensive but fun to shoot at the range stoeger cougar. I picked a couple up to have extra range guns for guests and have had no issues yet.

I think the CZ75 suggestions are great. For me, however, my preference begins and ends with the Browning Hi Power. A true classic. Simple and elegant.

Hmm, range gun in 9mm . . . There's lots of good choices there. I'd be looking real hard at a BHP or maybe a CZ 75 of some flavor. Not that I own or have shot either one, mind you, so take my comments for exactly what they're worth.

My 2 cents .... The cz75 is nice but IMO the 92fs is a nicer gun all the way around, it's the best shooter in my drawer. The cz75 does have a smaller grip and feels good in the hand but it doesn't shoot as nice as the 92 does. The next best shooting 9mm I have is the s&w 5906. A very awesome gun but you'd have to shop used for one.

I have several CZ-75 variants and a 92FS, and like both, but prefer the CZ's for the grip ergos, greater accuracy, and placement of the safety.

Some of my CZ's do exhibit slight hammer camming, but it is a total non issue.

I got this one just to have a cheap 9mm to shoot at the range.

Smith & Wesson 910.

It's only got a ten round magazine (built during the "ban") but that doesn't bother me since it's a range toy. I only load 5 at a time anyway.

SIG X-5, SIG X-6, H&K USP 9mm Tactical, H&K USP 9mm Expert and/or SIG p210-1. The H&K's are readily available. The SIG's less so. All are great guns.
