Alpena:
I've only practiced running three times on level terrain (at night) with what has been my only handgun, a WW2 Sauer 38H. It was just a quite random
field test, as this is a very safe residential area. But that almost paper-thin leather Bianchi IWB holster once or twice allowed the Sauer to slowly bounce Upwards, and frankly, once it fell onto the grass (no ammo). Runner: 5'11", 180 lbs.
The Sauer is slightly thinner, the same size, and the approx. wt. as its "son", the Sig 230/232.
Having a brand-new/first CCW (TN), am also just starting to learn a little about holsters, and IWB only.
My carry gun is the used, stainless Sig 232. If jogging with the total weight including the loaded magazine is acceptable, I highly recommend the
Sig 232, based on the feel, decocking function etc, trigger, many, many dozens of 'first person' Internet comments.
