Nearly a riot at the local Wal Mart,,,

I drove 15 miles when the app said an LWM had Mini-Mags in stock. When I got to the store they were out. I checked the app again and it said it was "out of stock." I wouldn't drive out of my way like that just for ammo, but I was already driving around with nothing to do that day.

If you're making special trips based on apps and computers, you still have to beat the customers already in the store. :)

I've never paid more than Walmart prices and don't plan to start. I'm at the point now where I think I have enough not to need any except to replace any that I shoot, so I'm not going to buy any more for a while to help reduce demand in my own little way.

Got paid yesterday so I went to Big 5 and got a Mossy Oak rifle sling for my Marlin.
I know the truck delivery is later in the night. I asked if I stood a chance picking up some 22lr ammo tomorrow morning and he laughed.
He said "Get here an hour before we open." "You will be standing in a line outside the store."
I need no more than I have, 2,000 rounds.
I honestly shoot a couple hundred rounds per year.

Our local store announces when a new .22lr shipment comes in. They sell out in minutes just with the customers who are already in the store. They have a two box limit. The demand is still there.
I e-mailed CCI and they told me their production is 24/7 and the shipments are being sucked up like water in the desert.
Remington in Arkansas is also 24/7 and they are building a whole new factory to try to meet demands.

Haven't seen any since you know when. But I'm not a hoarder and am not with the rest of the herd of sheep so I don't even bother looking. For all I know its in stock now. But seriously doubt it. I'll look next year. When maybe a brick is back down to $20.
