My selling/buying binge is finally over: Results inside.

Just curious why was the Walther trade bait?
The grip felt like holding a 1x2 piece of lumber in my hand.
Colt Government Series 80?
i just bought one, wanted to know a serious collectors oppinion on it
I love them. I actually prefer them over the Series 70. I like the lowered ejection port better and I personally feel the added safety is a desirable feature.

Some people drink way to deeply of the Series 70 kool-aid. I was comparing an older Series 70 to the new Series 80 I just bought at my dealer the other day. The Series 70 was nowhere near as well put together as the Series 80. The series 70 came from a time frame when Colt was working on older machines that were on their last legs. The new guns are made on newer, higher precision machinery.

You came out way ahead PP, no doubt. Getting the Smith, Anaconda, and the DW, you knocked it out of the park. I have two DW's myself.......pure quality.

My tastes have matured also, seems the only guns that interest me now are older Smith revolvers, High Standard 22's, and high end 1911's.

I would have kept the Vaquero, and no way an anaconda is better than anything on that list, I have never seen one that shoots or looked like it was even a Colt product, but that is my opinion, I am hoping you were selling these FTF rather than going back into the gun shop for trades, if so, I gotta figure you lost 5 grand on the deal

Playboypenguin, like you I had high hopes for the PPS. It would be ideal (super slim with power and Walther pedigre) if it was more reliable. I am a bit surprised that you traded for two instead on one Kahr. We know that you're high on Kahr, but I really don't have a better purchase option off hand.

Nice work .. the Anaconda is a beauty ... I probably would have kept the 637 (of course, I already have a PM9) but otherwise, looks like you make some good changes ... betting they won't be the last ..;)

Wow, what a collection my friend.

As usual, your collection is really impressive (especially this last round of trades/purchases). The only pistol I would have kept would have been the Berretta Bisley. I just love that piece and wish I had one in my collection.

Thats Great!

:) Keep up the economy, now I don't feel so bad-I bought a SA S/S Mil -Spec a week and half ago and tomorrow am purchasing a Kimber Tactical Ultra II. Along with a S&W M&P 9c bought last Sept. and a Beretta 90-two bought in 06' lets keep it going.:D Woody

Upgrade

Nice job! I'm in the same boat....well actually "dingy" would be more accurate! I'd asssumed that I'd have to sell what I want to get rid of, then shop with cash for the upgrade. It sounds like PBP was able to trade and not "take a bath"......hows that work?

Well, thanks for sharing PBP! I bought one of PBP handguns during one of his earlier flurries :). I'm thinking a guy could just follow him around like a dog following a lil kid who is slurping on a fast melting triple decker ice cream cone.

patience......patience....patience......BAM! SCORE!

Here's the best and the craziest part: when you buy his guns, even used, the pictures will turn out better than when you buy a new one. Crazy huh? PS, I think that the office pool has you buying some new new ones real soon:-)
